Every one is thinking that it will be like a valencia, who knows it may be like that but no one knows what it is really. And rain? no one knows how will rain affect the race, the drivers might be unable to see and the race may be red flagged.Lets just hope for a good race

I put Jarno Trulli for a joke. But either this race will be boring as hell, with a regular winner, and a very normal and boring finishing order, or it will be a shortened farce, with a shock winner..
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

Who knows what will happen this race,no one really knows what's going to happen.I don't think racing under lights will be a problem, unless it rains. The Moto GP race was fine and there won't be problems with visibility, unless there's a load of powercuts or something.Only if it rains do I see the lights being problematic. However car and tyre performance will be heavily affected by the cooler temperatures, and thee's the logistical issues of racing at night.Anything is possible.

I think it will be a circuit that will suit the McLaren well, expecially Hamiltons McLaren, because he loves streetcircuits more than other drivers. But I expect a close battle again between the Ferrari and McLaren. Vettel will be happy to score 1 point I think. Back on earth for him.

Okay, this may be a bit... not nice from me, but how cool would it be if it started to rain hard and the power went off!!swca92 wrote:...unless there's a load of powercuts or something.Only if it rains do I see the lights being problematic....
omg, can you imagine the chaos? i have a smile on my face just imagining the headlines "The most expensive blackout in F1 history"

I can´t say who will be the winner. I don´t know the circut. OK there a a lot of videos, but how would be the race. I watched on wetter.com for a forecast. On sunday the 28th there´s a chance of 30% of raining. But that can change very fast.
But if it rains really it might be to dangerous in the darkness.

Re: 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix
I think the race will be pretty much boring. :tired:
Even though there are 2 long straights, it's difficult to follow another car because of the turbulence air from the car in front. So, I think we won't see a lot of overtaking here.
Rain might be the only chance to see some overtakings, but I believe all the drivers will be more careful, they don't want to make any silly error by overtake another drivers.
This race would be similar to Valencia race or even more boring than Valencia.
I choosed Kimi to win the race

When it rains during the race, the situation will be more difficult for the drivers. I think it's a mixture of Valencia, Monaco and a bit Albert Park then.
I hope Massa will win this race. Then he would lead the championship.

My fear is too that it will just be Valencia at night. Too bad that they want to put new street tracks to the calendar which doesn't really make the season more interesting. They should look at places such as Spa or Interlagos and make the kind of tracks where racing is possible.
Re: 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix
well, i don't know who will win (LH or FM most likely), but I think one just cannot erase Kubica out of the equation when it comes to street circuits...
the guy has 5th fastest car on the grid (and this is still optimistic), but so far he was 2nd in Monaco, 1st in Montreal and 3rd in Valencia... i would bet all my money that he will be on the podium again on yet another street circuit. on which step is anybody's guess, though...
