Predictions and predictions but they never go correct.Well i think its gonna be a tough race remember last years monza every one was expecting a Ferrari win but i didnt happened so iam justing hoping a Ferrari race.

There is gravel on the exit of both chicanes. grass on the inside of c1 and tarmac sadly on the inside of c2

I think gravel traps will not be necessary as Monza is high speed track if they go out off the track either they will collide with barriers or they loose the momentum and also the place for which they are fighting

FOTA’s 1st Meeting At Monza

The FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) the new grouping of teams post concorde agreement has set its first official get together meeting for the weekend of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

The meeting is subject to all teams signing new documents outlining the future desires of the teams to the FIA, which were due to be signed in Valencia but were put off until this weekend in Spa.

Ferrari have been furiously writing the documents and drawing up plans to the future since the group formed the FOTA at Maranello.

When asked about the status of the body by Autosport, BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen said: “I expect the Articles of Association to be signed during this weekend and we want to have our first FOTA meeting in Monza next week, so in my view it is progressing.”

The group is drawing up plans for the 2011 season to make the sport more cost effective, and the FIA is willing to listen as long as preliminary thoughts are on paper by October.

“We are already working on the cost issues and the FIA is included in that, so I don’t know what the outcome will be,” explained Theissen.

“The FIA people have joined (the discussion) and I hope it will be something constructive that gets the support of the FIA. It is my impression that all the teams are pushing to address the issue of costs and find proposals that really drive costs down.

“I don’t think we will have something, fixed regulations, by October. But if we have a common view and common direction that can be finalised after that, it will be okay.”

I think cutting the effective cost will only slow down the development of the cars or might also result in slower cars(but that won't happen) or long pit stops

That`s not the point ! If there`s gravel the car will stop, end of the race, in what ever circuit, like that to cut is not so tempting is it ?

I agree, only a matter of time to those highly payed "brains" to come with some solution and then, voilá, lap records broken, again.....

Thank you. I thought a long time about what happened in Spa. And in the end I just thought we should look forward to Monza. Of course it will be discussed by the media during the weekend, but in the end it will be just one of those "happenings" of the season.

So let's go straight to Monza. A great and traditional track, but there was was very less action in the last few races. Of course everyone of remembers the horrific crash of 2000, i think, but that was just one thing. Also 2003 was a good race with that Schumi/Montoya battle for the champioship. It seemed to be all in Williams hands but, they gave it away in the end. And of course we remember the retirement of Michael Schumacher in 2006, which he announced in Monza.

I hope something unpredictable will happen this year. Maybe a Kovalainen or a Heidfeld win or we will have someone of the mid-field teams on the podium. I expect Kimi to fall further back. He has no motivation and he thinks for himself now, that he won't make it to the title this year. Last year he had nearly no chances anymore and no one cared about him, but this year is different.
One last sentence: I expect Toyota to be strong again if the weather conditions are Valencia-like.

It's not typical Italy weather...
But for the tyres, I thought they will take the 2 hardest to Monza, the same as Spa, correct me if I'm wrong
