FANTASTIC RACE THOUGH. THIS IS THE WAY F1 SHOULD BE! I don't care if Hamilton got 3rd, he was the #1 driver in that race.

Keep it calm people. There WILL be warnings IF we go OTT.
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

I agree. The decision is terrible, but this happens in sport.blizzard wrote:Everybody relax, there have been equal controversial decisions:
Last week, Castro-Neves was forced to let Justin Wilson through, although he didn´t do anything wrong
or in 1994 Michael was disqualified after a spin on the curb, because his undertray was 1 milimetre too thin.
So it has nothing to do with Ferrari. Just relax. If Hamilton deserves the championship he will win it, don´t bother. He´s still in the lead.
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 Belgian Grand Prix
the championship is going to massa's way.
he has a new engine in italy and kimi will help him now who is also in a new wngine while lewis is on the 2nd race with same engine.

"The stewards, having received a report from the race director and having met with the drivers and team managers involved, have...determined a breach of the regulations has been committed by the competitor and impose the penalty referred to," said an FIA statement.
Hamilton was deemed to have "cut the chicane and gained an advantage", thereby breaching Article 30.3(a) of the sporting regulations and Appendix L chapter 4 Article 2 (g) of the International Sporting Code.
With 25 seconds added to his race time, Hamilton has dropped to third in the classification behind BMW Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld.

sorry TA, future town-sharer, but if you don't speak your mind you will get nowhere and if you are protected from the world then you will get nowhere.

I can't believe that Hamilton was penalized for the bus stop incident with Kimi. Knocked him down to 3rd. but still in 1st for the Drivers Champ. points.

Absolutely pathetic decision from the stewards / FIA, whoever is responsible for it . The FIA should go away and look at themselves .
Really a Bad decision for the future of this sport .

Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 Belgian Grand Prix
I'm absolutely shocked from this race. I was sure, that Kimi wins but no  . Then Heikki retires too. I bet that James Allen was like: ''YEAH, YEAH, GO LEWIS! YOU ARE THE BEST DRIVER IN THE HISTORY OF F1!''
Our commentators were pretty sad. When they heared Lewis's team radio, they said: ''I don't wanna even translate that.''
Anyway, because of Lewis's penalty, Heidfeld came 2nd (again). He holds the record for the most 2nd places without a victory. Nick is permanent Number Two.
Penalty to Lewis was still stupid. He did nothing wrong. It was a race-event!

FIA should have been quicker and given Lewis a drive thru which he should have completed Schumacher-esque in 1998 silverstone

next time that a thrilling battle takes place, honesty, would anyone give a sh*t? why should anyone give a sh*t?
in football the biggest thrill is when players score goals, in basketball when you score or dunk, in tennis in game/set/break points.
in Formula one, the biggest thrill is waiting for FIA/stewards decisions.
This is why my friends Formula 1 was not, is not, and will never be a sport. It is a privately owned, privately run circus that gives performances all over the world. But not a sport.

Monza 2006: Alonso :" I no longer consider F1 a sport" - he is 110% correct.
Now when a race finishes we'll wait a year for the official results. The last time a driver was demoted from the victory was 1999 Malaysia i think when fearrari were DQ-ed for something that was illegal and then re-instated.
