The stewards have to see that Lewis would have won anyway as Kimi crashed out. If Kimi crashed as a result of Lewis' pass or finished P2, then yes maybe.

Ron Dennis: "We don't know what the investigation is about. I think at the chicane lewis was ahead and was pushed wide. Lewis was ahead, he let kimi through, then passed him. We had the corner at the chicane, but we let Kimi through"

It seems that Lewis didn't properly let Kimi past.

i dont think lewis let kimi go completely after the last chicane.

Lewis Cut the chicane in a way that he was able to pass Kimi at La Source which is an advantage. He could have backed off, he did not need to cut the chicane.

Kimi crashed. Lewis wouldve won anyway! no-one is seeing my point!!!!!!!!! if kimi finsihed p2 then maybe, but he didnt HE CRASHED OUT!!!!!!

There was so much corner cutting,double blocking etc there's no point handing out penalties.

as mark blundell said lewis gained a little bit more momentum by cutting the chicane.
and that helped him to overtake kimi.
