Hell, why would Lew even venture to Spain with all the anti-Lewis sentiment? That's like Fernando Alonso taking a walk through Leicester Square..
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

I voted for Hamilton. It's a street circuit, so I think McLaren will have the upper hand, and Hamilton is the faster guy over Kovalainen, maybe he can go for the podium.. Who knows, but I don't expect Heikki to take the victory again. The battle between the Ferrari's and the McLaren of Hamilton will be close I think. I think it will be an enjoyable race ;)

I voted Alonso (so sue me, I can at least wish! )

On a more serious note:

The outcome will be very hard to predict, there will probably be SCs, so anything can happen. I think Ferrari will have the upper hand, the track is very fast even if it is a street circuit. Kimi will probably do better than Massa - I'm not sure Massa will be able to stay away from the walls. :pout:

ITV F1 wrote: Valencia by numbers

Circuit length: 3.380 miles

Type of circuit: Temporary street track

Number of laps: 57

Estimated lap time: 1m37s

Estimated top speed: 200mph at the end of the long straight between turns 11 and 12

Number of corners: 25 in total, 14 right-handers, 11 left-handers

Fastest corner: Turn 14, a fourth-gear, right-hander, 110mph

Overtaking opportunities: With only F3 and GT cars taking to track so far, the possibility for overtaking in the grand prix is relatively unknown. However, turns 12 and 17 both look promising as they are slow corners that are wide on entry and preceded by long straights.

Usual weather: The Mediterranean coast of Spain is usually bathed in sunshine at this time of year. Temperatures are likely to be as high as 30C, making conditions similar to the last grand prix in Hungary.

Chances of a first corner crash: Unknown. The first corner is a sweeping right hander that shouldn’t cause any problems, but it is quickly followed by a tight chicane compromising of turns two and three. There is a large run-off area but the apex of turn 3threeis up against a concrete wall and may cause drivers to think twice before making a move early in the race.
Looks like there are some overtaking oppertunities and the chances of rain is minimal.

Well I expect Hamilton to win this race. The McLaren should like the track and Hamilton goes well on street tracks (Melbourne,Monaco,Montreal). I'll be surprised if Kimi wins,Massa may be the best bet for Ferrari to win the championship.

this is a track like montreal which suits mclaren in shorter runs while ferrari at long runs and there are genuine overtakings, i think one of the ferraris will be victorious while one of the mclarens will take pole.
well it depends on stratedy as well, the teams are planning their stratedy taking in the fact that the saftey car would surely come out.

Let it be their own opinion please.. and their own view on the coming GP-weekend..

TA: I think Syafiqa is mentioning the fact that she voted for Kimi, not persuading others to vote for Kimi.. After all, English is a lot of people's second or third language.
Just looks like a slight misunderstanding all round.
