Important!!!

Post by phil1993 » 24 Jul 2008, 17:59

Hey

Guys in the UK, this is very important.
Six of the UK's biggest net providers have agreed a plan with the music industry to tackle piracy online.

The deal, negotiated by the government, will see hundreds of thousands of letters sent to net users suspected of illegally sharing music.

Hard core file-sharers could see their broadband connections slowed, under measures proposed by the UK government.

BT, Virgin, Orange, Tiscali, BSkyB and Carphone Warehouse have all signed up.
and my Dad says that they are also gonna be watching torrents, so watch out and download legally $peace

i dont think it is possible to monitor millions of people. i have heard that the people in sky are too lazy to even alert and fine the customer if their monthly usuage is above the bought one.

Apparently this system will be based on sending people letters. That's all I know about it, but seriously, snail mail?

Doesn't affect me anyway, because I buy all my music legally.
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

i am surprised to see that you guys buy stuffs like songs and so on.
I have always got things like songs to softwares illegally for free.

this might be because you have a montly usuage limit. it does not matter hoe much you download if you have aan unlimited monthly usuage limit.

They sent me (orange) one after I had downloaded all of F1 2006 as well.
