I'd pick him in a straight fight with Massashail69 wrote:i do not think kovalainen is a champion material. i agree that he had bad luck all this year. but his run in british grand prix was not so good. i dont know if he had some kind of problem but many people expected him to win, but he finished well below the expectation. i guess he is a strong qualifier but not a great raceday driver.

Do you mean to say that Massa beat Kovalainen even when Ferrari where struggling in hairpin ? Typo error i believe.shail69 wrote:come massa won easliy in canada even with barichello and ferrari were specially struggling in that hairpin.swca92 wrote:Your seemingly making that assumption on one race. Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 German Grand Prix
i think it'll be close race between Macca and ferrari but McLaren past ferrari over the devalopment rate so McLaren will be closer or faster than they were in Silverstone and my favourite is Hamilton for this race he'll take pole and win it..But during the season Heikki seemed faster in qualifying but slower in race trim we know he had too much bad luck but i think he's slower in race trim but faster in hot lap..It will be interesting qualifying in Hockenheim i hope our 2 drivers will start 1-2 or 1-3 it would be great result to start race..I hope there won't be any bad luck for Hammy or Kova
4ever McLaren...

Everyone's seemingly forgetting BMW. They're at home and still up there in the championship. I fancy Kubica to get on the front row and to beat atleast 1 Macca or Ferrari in the race

I don't think people forgot BMW .. But they seem to have fallen off the pace after Canadian GP !swca92 wrote:Everyone's seemingly forgetting BMW. They're at home and still up there in the championship. I fancy Kubica to get on the front row and to beat atleast 1 Macca or Ferrari in the race
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 German Grand Prix
IF they ever had pace in Canada..., maybe they're pace was good, but they won mainly because of Lewis Hamilton. and before all of you start shouting that i want to minimize the worth of their win, i don't want to. However, they were very lucky

I think BMW concentrate on the 2009 car. They achieved their goals for 2008 (pole, victory) and focus on next year.
They were very weak at France and still relatively weak in Great Britain in terms of performance in dry conditions.
One BMW might get on the front row, but it would be very low on fuel then.
I still see Hamilton as favourite for Hockenheim.
If Massa doesn´t end up on the podium his days might be over at the Ferrari after this season...Alonso is knocking on the door...

It's not often to see a wet race at Hockhenheim... But we can hope :cheezy:
I also hope that Toyota and McLaren don't run their anvil wings as seen at testing...
