Ferrari test interrupted by bad weather
The Ferrari Formula 1 team planned to run at Mugello this week, but due to bad weather expectations they moved their test session to Vallelunga, a track near Rome. Unfortunately for the Italians their day was interrupted by bad weather in vallelunga.

Wednesday was the second day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working again today at the Vallelunga circuit, north of Rome, with Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.

The day was affected by bad weather, with violent rain showers and occasional hail. Therefore it did not prove possible to complete the planned work programme. Felipe Massa could only complete 31 laps, while Raikkonen completed 20 laps.

As a result of the bad weather, Ferrari has decided to extend this session to Friday 26th January.

The Honda Racing F1 team today unveiled their new RA107 at Circuit de Catalunya, a track near Barcelona. The team already had its first shakedown of the car on Wednesday with Rubens Barrichello behind the wheel, but the car was officially revealed to the invited media today.

With the RA107 sporting its black and white testing colours in preparation for a reveal of the new team livery next month, the focus was on the development of both team and car since the Honda Racing F1 Team concluded 2006 with a strong 4th place in the Constructors' Championship. As the team put the new car through its paces, the team's
management, together with race drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, spoke of their intent to strive for even greater success in 2007.

Nick Fry, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "We are proud to present the product of a year's excellent co-operation between Honda facilities in the UK and Japan. Although the different engineering groups have worked closely for several years, the RA107 is a
true international team effort involving hour by hour communication, strong team work and great team spirit across the globe. This year we aim to build on the latter part of the 2006 season and successful pre-Christmas testing, during which we completed more testing than any other team. We intend to benefit from continuity of drivers and key
personnel, combined with performance improvement designed into the new RA107 using our full-scale wind tunnel which was completed last season, to move closer to realising our World Championship ambitions.

"In Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello we have two of the most competitive and experienced drivers on the Formula One grid who work together well and play a pivotal role in team leadership and car development. Supporting them are Christian Klien and James Rossiter, who have made an impressive start to winter testing, completing important development mileage and demonstrating a promising blend of speed, youth
and driving experience."
Jenson Button was supposed to complete his first laps today in the RA107, but unfortunately for the 27-year-old the car stopped without having even completed a single lap. Honda is currently in Barcelona to present its 2007 contender.

The RA107 made its debut on track for the first time on Wednesday. Rubens Barrichello completed a number of laps without any major problems. Unfortunately for Button he had to cope with what looks likes an electrical problem.

lol bad luck..

Massa upbeat despite smash
27 January 2007

Felipe Massa was upbeat despite crashing the new Ferrari F2007 during testing at Vallelunga near Rome on Friday. The crash did nothing to help the Italian squad whose plans have been blighted by poor weather conditions.

"Despite the weather we've managed to do some good work," Massa told the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper. "We did some running in the dry, and a lot in the wet. It's a shame conditions weren't better but at least we've done some running and let's hope we can get more done next week."

"The new car feels good," he added. "We've found some good solutions with the set-up and made consistent improvements. My crash was fairly standard and at that corner the barrier is very close to the racing line and the gravel didn't slow me down at all."

Lol funny pic, someone lost his sence of directon :P

Hmz I can't say that I really like the new Renault by the way, I like the colours, but they should have been mixed a bit better over the car in my opinion. The back is now white/orange and the front yellow/blue, don't really like it.
