Couldn't have said it better myself .

It still didn't stop ITV from focusing the minor post-race interview time on Lewis' incident rather than DC or anyone else's great drives. That aside, I found ITV's coverage of the entire weekend incredibly annoying as it was SO Lewis-orientated. It was as if his win last weekend gave them an excuse to go over-the-top with their already jam-packed Lewis-based show. The only bits I found remotely interesting and worthy of my attention was Martin Brundle's typically excellent grid walk and the race itself. Steve Ryder is seriously beginning to p*** me off with his Hamilton a*se kissing. I'm also very disappointed to see Steve and Mark back in the paddock :<>: after their one-off trip away from it in Monaco. Also, anybody notice how impressive they made his record of being the first Englishman in 39 years to win in Monaco sound? If they'd called him British, his victory wouldn't have been that impressive as DC last won there just 6 years ago. From a personal perspective, the BBC's coverage can't come soon enough.

This is just a general question rather than a criticism but was it just me or did James seem untypically quiet for the majority of qualifying? He did pick up towards the end of course when Hamilton was gunning for pole :p.

I have a question. Did he work for US television before he started for ITV? In races from 1995 there is always a reporter in the pitlane who sounds similar to him.

So it was for US TV? Strange way to entry in F1, but he has made it very well!

He will never reach Murray but he's a good commentator, there's no doubt about it.

Allen answered my question on ITV's ask the team website feature. To be honest, I'm not really sure I should be proud of it. (not that I am anyway) :p

Martin is suffering the effects of overexposure to James Allen.

My rating for different commentary teams:
ITV - 7
Speed - 9
Star Sports - 9.5
BBC 5 Live - 8

Do you mind if I ask what the question was?

I read ITV's 'Ask The Team' feature after the Canadian Grand Prix and although I despise James and his commentary, I thought he provided very objective and sensible answers. He even apologized for his Lewis-loving during one of the replies! :p

Now, all we need is an apology from Steve Rider and we're sorted

I love ITV and Speed TV commentaries, too. James Allen and Martin Brundle are very easy to understand because they don't talk with any kind of slangs. So for non-english speaking people they are perfect. I don't like the american slang, so I cannot understand every word said on Speed TV.
But the best commentaries are the two germans Jacques Schulz and Marc Surer. If you all could understand what they are saying you will love them! !yahoo:

In which countries are Star Sports and BBC? UK?

BBC is in the UK,and have the rights to show F1 from next year.I hope they are less biased, but if their coverage of Moto GP and James Toseland is anything to go by,the "Lewistyria" will continue.Star Sports isn't in the UK,and I don't know where exactly it is

It was how well will Lewis Hamilton do or something along those lines. They changed the question alot form when I originally sent it in.

Allen does seem to off calmed his excitement at race starts down, which I admit make them even more exciting when he screams go like in 2004 races. :p

Well in races and qualifying James Allen is annoying as he is bias, but the thing he does that talks about the race is o.k. Qualy report is bad as well, IN Q1 Hamilton...In Q2 Hamilton...In Q3 Hamilton.

Is it me or is James (and ITV) not only biased towards Hamilton but they make every other driver seem worse. On kimi's first top ten shoot out run in Silverstone he said that like everyone was going quicker than him, only Heikki actully beat that time on that run.
