Hamilton is way fast than Kova in his first flying lap in which he made this mistake. After that, he screwed up his fuel strategy by lapping one unneccasary lap, maybe due to lack of communication. And in his second flying lap, he was over over cautious not to make any mistake. But it turned out to be a disaster. He must be on pole as he's the lighter out of two, I guess but he again made a mistake.

I don't know what's going on in Ferrari. Massa is behind Vettel!

a mclaren on pole, but not hamilton, maybe Hamilton has more fuel than Kovalainen. However, the Ferrari's were very disappoiniting during quali session, let's see what they can do in the race tomorrow. Of course a big surprise was the second place for Mark Webber. I think he will pit first tomorrow, he seems to be very light.

"Lewis made a mistake and paid the price. It's a long race and we've got a good strategy. He was trying hard and that's what you'd expect him to do. The race is tomorrow and we're in a strong position, so I'm not too worried. Lewis is a very strong driver, you can never discount him."

Remember guys, rain expected for the race tomorrow - the grid could mean zilch.

I have a hunch Alonso and Webber will do well tomorrow.Alonso looks like he's heavily fueled and he'll like the probable wet weather.Webber goes well in the wet (see Fuju last year) and I think has some fuel in his car

Conseidering Heikki did 2 perfect Laps ,So that means some 40-45 kgs which indicates a first stop around lap 17-18.

Burti said at Fuji last year that max difference from a full wet to a full dry set-up on a high DF track is about 0.4 sec

yeah same here a Mclaren on Pole but not Hamilton in his home GP...I feel all Hamilton needs to do is make a jump on kimi
at the start and he can win...happy for kovi but not many laps led from start in a race I have a feeling he would not know how to react...I feel webber is light on fuel....he seems to be a spoiler

But Hamilton will be on dirty side, whereas Kimi on clean.
