Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
indy 2000 i think, or it was a race before that. Up till 2007 i hadn't really followed F1, i was just watching the odd GP, but after last year i wish i could have watched it since i was born lol.

Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
I can remember in the haze of being six, watching a race in 1996 and wanting Hill to win. I think Irvine retired. I don't remember enough detail to really say which GP it was, but I suspect it was the 1996 Canadian Grand prix. I watched some races in '98 an '99 (presumably not the good ones), but my first grand prix where I was in the know was the 2004 Spanish Grand prix, and in a way, Jarno Trulli's flying start got me hooked.

Yeah, I probably watched some earlier ones, so it's all a bit hazy.

HAHA i can't even remember this one. The earliest thing i can remember is watching Schumacher's first ever race in Belgium when i was only like 3 or 4. I didn't start following F1 until Mika won his first title.
Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
wow... great topic... my first gp was spain 1996... and it's easy to understand why I fell in love with schumacher from the beginning... after that one, in that year I only watched 3 or 4 grand prinx... but since 1997 f1 have been part of my life, missing only 5 races...

japan 2005 got me hooked on f1
Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
Mine was somewhere during the 1981 season, watched Nelson Piquet in a Brabham get ratty with a driver (name escapes me) for taking him out. Problem is, Nelsons oppononat had the racing line and he tried to cut accros him. He punched the bloke there on the track. Ahhh, the good old days.
I then followed Mansell and Senna....Hooked.

His name was Salazar and the race was in Hockenheim. And you are 100% right about the "good old days".
Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
The first race I remember watching is 2003 Japanese GP, but I think I watched some before then.
It was 2004 when I really began watching F1, though.
