I think a penalty will be harsh, as he screwed his own race and lets face it: he lost 10 and Kimi 6 (he would've finished behind Kubica)- especially for Magny Cours, where overtaking is at premium. it was a topsy turvey race and no penalties should be imposed. i dont know why there was a safety car for Sutil but not for Fisi!

Maybe they punish Kimi for leaving the pits when there was a red light (after Hamilton crashed into him) and then say that Hamilton had an accident. Whatever, I was only surprised that Hamilton didn't know about the lights after it has been such a big issue recently and there's been so many unnecessary penalties because of the pit lane rules.

Hamilton just sheer incompetance.

Last 2 races he has been fast, but made 2 stupid mistakes, got lucky in Monaco, not so here.

Great racing and overtaking by Massa

And well done BMW and Kubica, and also great to see DC up there :cheezy:

DC, the wise head among the chaos! funny to see at one point that the three eldest statesmen, Barrichello, Coulthard and Trulli were 1-2-3. Young guns? Lewis who?

Completely foolish by Hamilton, the red light is on so stop. On the subject of a penalty its 50/50 for me, he punished himself with no points but he did f*ck Kimi's race as well.

Well, Hamilton can't make such silly mistakes if he wants to fight for the championship. Lewis is a very good driver, but he makes too much mistakes. Sadly Kimi suffered from his fault. I think Lewis deserves big penalty. I'm so proud of Kubica, another perfect race, hopefully the championship is still within reach.

OMG just realise, no Hamilton-Senna comparisons!!!! I'm surprised there were no 'Oh Hamiltons done what Senna did in Monaco 1988, thrown it all away when there was the easy win'. Thank you James Allen (and Martin, as always) for a (relatively) unbiased race!!

The traffic light sucked though. I mean, just after the crash it turned green. Why wasn't it green in the first place? They also hesitated with the SC and didn't really know what to do with pit lane and its lights or anything. Hopefully they can get the new system working for Magny Cours.

Kimi got no Monaco penalty, so Lewis should get no penalty now IMO. He ruined his own race along with Kimi's. Lets move on to probably a more uneventful French grand Prix. Boy, ITV are gonna make something of this!....

Bet you didn't want "justice" when Kimi crashed into Sutil.

Of course people are hardly ever objective when they're asking for penalties. :p But FIA isn't necessarily either so we'll see.

Hamilton and Rosberg get 10 place penalty for next race.

At least if Finnish media isn't lying. :p

kimi got no penalty on monaco, because he was on track, and he brake, but can not control his car.

Hamilton crash kimi because de didn't see red light, and even didn't see 2 cars stoped in front of him.

It's very different
