Maybe, this is just me thinking out loud, Kimi is complacent being on the top of points that he wants to add a little something more into his races. I so desperately wanted Force India to get some points.Lightning983 wrote:No he actually braked a bit sooner... that's why it happened in the 1st place...uncleben wrote:Yeah he did lose control of the car on the descent. I guess he didn't get on the brakes fast enough or too much braking. But still
And also, its the 2nd race he ruined another guys's race... last time it was Kovaleinen, by clipping his rear tire... this time Sutil...

Why so many of you think that Piquet did a good job? When Alonso got dry tires, he can drive preaty well... Piquet - he crash car...
I'm pretty sure it was Alonso the first out on dry's... Piquet was after.

Are u saying the Kimi crashing into Sutil was a blessing in disguise ?AzShadow wrote:pic of overtaking under yellow flags: http://img370.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 253ki6.jpghttp://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/67745 wrote: Sutil reprimanded for passing under yellow
Force India driver Adrian Sutil has been cautioned for overtaking under yellow flags during the rain-affected Monaco Grand Prix.
Sutil and the team's chief technical officer Mike Gascoyne were summoned to the steward's office after the race, and the German was reprimanded for passing Rubens Barrichello, Kazuki Nakajima and Nelson Piquet on lap 13.
A statement read: "The stewards do warn the driver of car no.20 as to his future behaviour in relation to appendix H, Chapter 2, Article 4.1.2b of the International Sporting Code."
Gascoyne also indicated to UK broadcaster ITV that he had contacted the stewards in relation to the incident that eliminated Sutil from the race.
The 25-year-old was heading for a career-best fourth-placed finish when Kimi Raikkonen collided with him after losing control under braking for the chicane.
So it's possible that Sutil would have got a penalty and been out of points anyway...

May be but not completely true, but i respect ur opinion. Whichever car has been quicker in short stints and have managed good speed while exiting the corners have went on to dominate Monte Carlo ...megasyxx wrote:monaco is mclaren territory.....just my opinion guys

Complacent ? Definitely not ... Things didn't work out well for him. Its like how things went wrong for Hamilton in Bahrain, the same has happened to Kimi now !uncleben wrote:Maybe, this is just me thinking out loud, Kimi is complacent being on the top of points that he wants to add a little something more into his races. sutil was the men of the race for me
Re: 2008 Monaco Grand Prix - Grand Prix de Monaco
As it was thought earlier, here's some confirmation:
Of course it doesn't mean that Kimi's crash into Sutil would have been justified, but Force India would probably have lost their millions anyway.http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/080602093137.shtml wrote: Sutil would not have scored points at Monaco
Whether he was punted out of the race by Kimi Raikkonen or not, Adrian Sutil would not have banked five points at the recent Monaco Grand Prix.
It has emerged that, although the young German was merely reprimanded by stewards for earlier overtaking under yellow flags in the Monte Carlo race, the FIA representatives would have taken different action had the Force India driver actually reached the chequered flag.
Sutil was in tears after the Raikkonen crash, and his team bosses claimed that the reigning world champion's driving error cost Force India several million dollars for the lost points.
But according to the Swiss newspaper Blick, Sutil would have been demoted out of the points even if he had finished.
Steward Paul Gutjahr confirmed: "We would have had to give him a 25-second penalty, because he overtook three cars under yellow flags after the Alonso-Heidfeld collision at the hairpin."
A 25-second penalty would have dropped Sutil from fourth to at least 10th place.
Re: 2008 Monaco Grand Prix - Grand Prix de Monaco
I think it has difficult place for sutil ..team should have radioed him after that corner!
Its wasn't best frm race director & stewards .. f1-raikkonens-penalty-that-never-was

Re: 2008 Monaco Grand Prix - Grand Prix de Monaco
it was a race very dificult...
zack so many drivers had a penalty if the race was in another circuit..
monaco is a race with sepcial conditions, and the stewards didn't have the best conditions for did your job.
canada is a problematic circuit too...
