Pretty weird practice with mixed weather. It'll be interesting to see if the weather will vary in the qualifying too. Then it might be a total lottery. Kubica did a nice lap with wet tyres being only 5 seconds behind Heikki's best time which was done under dry conditions.

The drying process of the track surface has been aided greatly by the astonishing sight of the sun coming through for a brief spell.

The track is now dry in all parts of the circuit.
Dry Quali :(

ok, here we go, Qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix begins in 45 minutes. Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen shared the top spots on Thursday, but it was Heikki Kovalainen who was fastest this morning in damp conditions before crashing on the exit of the swimming pool chicane. ITV coverage has begun and it looks like quali is going to be cloudy, with the sun breaking through after Morning rain.

In Fuji he had Alonso as his teammate... Lewis was a setup copycat at that time... :cheezy:

Heikki: "I have good feeling with car. the damage to the suspension is no problem. we wait to see what the weather is like, im hopeful it will be good. when it is wet it is no problem, but we see"

Alonso: "Last year i was not talking because i was conecentrating on the championship. they {the media} were talking about the spy thing, hungary etc, but i was focused on the championship. i had no possibility to choose the strategy; i was doing the thing they were saying".

Very revealing about Mclaren, he said more but i can't type (what hes saying on TV) that fast
