Re: HAMILTON TO FERRARI??
I think Hamilton will stay in McLaren. It looks like he feels good there (you know - British driver, British team, British team boss ). If Hamilton moved to Ferrari and drove with Kimi, that would be similar to the situation from the previous season (Alonso & Hamilton) and they wouldn't collaborate well. Both Kimi and Lewis would like to be the 1st driver...
Re: HAMILTON TO FERRARI??
Hamilton will be ensconced at McLaren for a long time. Unless something happens drastically where Ron Dennis tinkers too much to help Hamilton rather than keeping to his "equality" line. If Dennis became a hypocrite I think it would be his end and Hamilton's end at McLaren as well.
On the other hand, I don't see that happening. I see McLaren giving equal equipment, but Hamilton will have the teams emotion on his side.
I think it will be more interesting to see what happens to Robert Kubica and Heikki Kovalanien. Heikki is showing what he can do with a front line car and if not for his early collision with Raikkonen he looked set to take the fight to Ferrari. Still, 2/5 fastest laps have gone to Kovy, so the speed is definitely there. Raikkonen says he his having the best time he has ever had in F1 so I see him enjoying everything for hopefully 3-4 more years. I understand the politics of Ferrari having a Brazilian driver and so if Raikkonen goes I see Kovy has being the easiest replacement into Ferrari.
I think that could be really good for Kovy as his easy going open personality for Finn is already well known and I think he would slot in well with the Italians.
Robert Kubica on the other hand is my driver of the season so far. Or at least, most improved. He has taken the car that BMW has given him and driven the wheels off of it. You can see the styles of Robert and Heidfeld are different. Nick is very setup driven while Kubica can drive the wheels off of anything. I think both drivers are critical to BMW, which makes me question Kubica's technical input. I personally think that Kubica will remain with BMW as long as they are producing a competitive car. BMW obviously wants to compete for the World Championship and I think they have Kubica marked as their man. Don't get me wrong, I think Nick could as well, but he will have to develop the car more to his liking.
Sorry to thread jack...
All in all i think anyone seeing Macca and Ferrari people talking and thinking they are talking about Hamilton has got it wrong. I think Ferrari is lining up Kovy as an eventual replacement for Raikkonen.

Re: HAMILTON TO FERRARI??
Didn't Lewis extended his McLaren contract for a further 5 years? Regardless, I doubt he'll move to Ferrari. McLaren will probably build it's team around Hamilton, much like Ferrari did with Schumacher.

Re: HAMILTON TO FERRARI??
I can't see Hamilton or Kovi ever at Ferrari. If anything I would say Kubica is more likely to go in a few seasons time; unless BMW eventually become one of the top 2 teams, as opposed to one of the top 3.
Re: HAMILTON TO FERRARI??
In F1 you never know what happens, but I don't think so that Hamilton will drive ever at Ferrari.

Does that instantly mean Lewis Hamilton is going to cancel his 5 year McLaren contract and move?Lemans3 wrote:Hi all,

Re: Rumour: Hamilton spotted at Ferrari?
i think it is a false news becasue the major rumours were ferrari line up remain the same for 2009 and alonso is moving to bmw in 2009 and nick from bmw is going to retire at the end of this season but we cant believe in any of them until we receive a confirmation
