Lap times are 1 second faster than in last year!

It was Hamilton's choice, Ron said. Lewis felt that option tyres were a little bit sliding at the end of lap so he and his engineer chose the hard tyre.joostlamers wrote:Why Hamilton on the harder compound????

No surprises for pole, though Heidfeld seems way off the pace and a disappointing lap from Raikkonen. Webber just managed to get ahead of Alonso, so looks like the Red Bull is pretty decent around here.

Hamilton admitted it was a wrong decisionjoostlamers wrote:Okay, thanksxyneid wrote:It was Hamilton's choice, Ron said. Lewis felt that option tyres were a little bit sliding at the end of lap so he and his engineer chose the hard tyre.joostlamers wrote:Why Hamilton on the harder compound????
Interesting choice
It's so obvious how his car's back slides through Turn 8 with hard tyres. I couldn't understand how come he gave such a decision or his engineer let him do that! He could snatch the pole and I think he's lighter than Massa and his team mate, which will be nightmare for him.

First turn is going to be very interesting. Massa has to make a really good start! I think Raikkonen can get next to Hamilton and get on to third right at the beginning! Webber-Alonso battle is going to be nice as well!

Nice Result of Massa taking Pole Position, but a great result of Heikki Kovalainen strating second from the grid. Räikkönen "only" 4th on the grid
I think we gonna see a very interesting race tomorrow

Re: 2008 Petrol Ofisi Turkish Grand Prix
Massa on pole as expected. If he wins again, he's becoming a God in this track. !grin!
McLaren guys are more interesting, though. Hamilton was disappointed in the press conference so Heikki might be heavier as he's been in the past races. And if that's the case, it will surely be an interesting race tomorrow.
Kimi lost only hundreth of a second to Hamilton and that might have been crucial. We'll see if he'll fight for podium tomorrow.

Re: 2008 Petrol Ofisi Turkish Grand Prix
what happens if it rains tomorrow??
Re: 2008 Petrol Ofisi Turkish Grand Prix
Oh yes, the rain. That's now everybody's nightmare I think. Maybe Alonso would be happy...
Re: 2008 Petrol Ofisi Turkish Grand Prix
I think Massa & Hamilton have same fuel load!
Massa 18 laps
Ham 18
Heikki 19
Kimi 19
Massa 18 laps
Ham 18
Heikki 19
Kimi 19

If it rains the result will be much different. Remember Nürburgring and Fuji last year. This could be the race of Alonso, Hamilton, Webber, Vettel, Kovalainen... osweat:

Great job for Felipe, his laps were prefect in Q3 If he doesn't mess up at theh start or make a mistake, he's sure to win.
Kimi, well, a little disappointed. He was good on low fuel in Q2, and I think he would have been on the front row behind massa had it not been for that slowish first sector. He lost about 0.2 there. And unfortunately I think he's one lap lighter than Felipe. Looks like another weekend of limiting the damage for him. Hope he can pass at least a Mac tomorrow.
Heikki did a great job and looking at Lewis's mood in the press conference, i say he's again the heavier of the two. Heikki FTW What I didn't get was why Lewis chose to stay on the Hards on his second run too
Overall, a nice mixed up grid but I don't expect any surprises regarding the winner: Massa is looking really good. But I hope Heikki gets it, since Kimi is sorta out of contention...
