This is one thing to hard. Also if Massa stops having problems and keeps winning he could we soon. While Hamilton can do it but it depends on how he goes about things.

hi guys,

i think Hamilton because he's got a very fast car but Kubica and Rosberg still have the potential to become World Champions given that they have a frontrunning car ;)
As I walked through it Sunday evening, I couldn’t help but be amazed by the scale of this operation and the thousands of man hours that go into entertaining us for a couple of hours, 17 times a year.

Future Formula 1 Champions... Take your Crystal b***!!!

Post by hannibal_rising » 17 Jul 2008, 20:47

I think, in today's group of drivers only these ones can be champions (some of them, again):

1 - Fernando Alonso: Why?.... He is the best driver among today's pilots... that's all (And I'm not spaniard nor his fan)

2 - Kimi Raikonnen: Why? He has a great car (I can't say a great team because I don't like ferrari's politics) and he is a very good pilot. Not as good as he was in Mclaren, but good enough...

3 - Lewis Hamilton: I think he is going to win this year, and probably in some years, after a lot of learning, he's going to be really hard to defeat.

Till now, no suprises... but my last candidate is:

4 - Nico Rosberg: He is a really good driver. If he arrives to a competitive team soon, he can be a formula 1 champion for sure. Last year I went to the practice sessions in monza a couple of weeks before the GP and I was impressed about him taking ascari curves... by at least 15 -20 meters he was starting to speeding before the others....

Till some years ago I would have included Button too... but he is not the same as before... Remember that year when he couldn't left Honda?.... that was the year to left Honda and have a better car for fighting for the title...

I think no one else among formula 1 drivers of today can win a championship..... I feel Kubica has a lack of something... it is just a sensation...

Kubica, Hamilton = of those who have never won a title before, these will.

Vettel, Rosberg, (Piquet??) = future race-winners.

Kubica is keeping up with the guys ahead of him in a worse car (undoubtedly). It isn't just consistency, and soon, someone big (Ferrari, Mac, or whoever initially dominates the 2009- era) will poach him.
Hamilton will win a title, but hopefully not this year, not next and not anytime soon after that. I'm still sure he will though.

Vettel is skilled enough to win a race especially if he is poached too.
Rosberg may win if Williams do well in 2009, but will never win a title. Look at this year: he's as raw as Naka, and on equal points, which is deserved.
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

Kubica-because he does not make much mistakes very consistant with a dominat car it
will be very easy for him to win the title.
Alonzo-he has shown and proven himself many times and he will do it a few more times
Rosberg-Has great talent did very well in GP2 with a good car it wont be long before he can win the championship
I will love to see him in a Mclaren he belongs in the MP4-24 !!!
KIMI-If he can stop drinking he can win a few more
Hamilton-The kid is raw he has a chance to win this year...still have more learning to do
once he learns to avoid mistakes and continue to develope as long as he has a good car he will be hard to beat

Kubica- he has the speed, and now just has to wait for a faster car
Hamilton- dont really need to talk about this one
Raikkonen- again, dont really need to talk about this one
Vettel- has shown his talent in a c**p car and has scored points when he can
Sutil- has given us glimpses of his speed (monaco 07 wet practice, monaco 08 race). once he gets some more experience, and stops crashing into things, he'll do well.

I dont think that rosberg will win a championship, as this is now his third season in F1, and he hasnt really surprised us with his speed- eg hamilton in his first season, vettel, kubica. furture champions come in and start getting the job done straight away.

I voted for:

Rosberg - He needs to get in the right car. A Williams car won't help him to become champion
Vettel - Next season he can show his skills better, than this year if he is good enough he will get a car to win the championship, soon
Hamilton - well there's nothing to explain.....

Hamilton is the first choice. if McLaren keep on developing the car, this year he'll be the Champion... But in a close future, in a better car, I expect to see Kubica fighting for the Championship, too.
