Hello from England

Post by kingjamie » 24 Mar 2008, 18:32

My name is Jamie and i am a massive F1 fan, I have never missed an F1 race on the telly since 1996. Hope to talk to people about F1 and I am interested what pepole think about the great sport.

Random fact about me: I share the same birthday as Giancarlo Fisichella (14 January), even though he is 19 years my senior.

I'm a fellow brit aswell, 31 years old and been into F1 all my life. My dad's to blame. Use to marshall in my younger years but due to a young family I had to give it up in 2002. Best memory from those days ..... 1996 I think it was, Irvine's ferrari broke after pitting and parked infront of us on the Inside of Copse corner. End of the race we had to push his car back down the pit lane and as I was the smallest guy at the time I was put inside the car to stear!!! God those seats are tight, eddie has a small butt!!!!!

I'm also from Nottinghamshire as it happens too.

Been watching F1 since 1998 - the Belgian GP that year happened to be my first race .Fair to say what happened that day has had me hooked ever since.I'm rather keen to catch up with the good action before then :)

Not missed a race since Melbourne 2006 (didn't hear the alarm clock) , so whoever said they've been watching for 12 years live has done a pretty good job.
