Post by phil1993 » 07 Apr 2008, 13:13

Just if anyone didnt know, today is the 40th anniversary of the death of Jim Clark at an F2 race in Hockenheim.
He won 2 world titles, won 25 of the 72 races he started and claimed 32 pole positions

RIP Jim Clark, 40 years on.

Didn`t remember. Nice touch phill. Another great star of this sport. I remember when i started to get some info about f1 history, Jim Clark was always very respected by other drivers, and everyone mentioned his natural talent and how calm he was. I started to think and to call him as the " Senna of the 60`s". They both were highly gifted talented drivers, and they both died doing something they loved.

yeah, he seems to be one of the forgotten stars of the sport despite the fact he won so many races+titles (more than Kimi or Alonso). he rarely gets a mention yet one-title Mansell and DHill always seem to get mentioned
