Anyway, anyone who's followed FP results have noticed that many engines have blown there, but no penalties have been given. So it's really that simple and this rule has been around since last year already. Engine must survive 2 gp weekends ..which includes all sessions from friday to sunday. IMO
Like quoted above the Friday practice sessions aren't part of the "race".
