Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
I remember watching a bit of the 1998 British Grand Prix. Hakkinen was leading in the rain and ended up spinning along the grass coming out of Bridge and ended up back on the track still in the lead. Classic! My 1st full race I watched was the 1998 Belgium Grand Prix. Not a bad race 2 start with hey.hehe. Jordan 1st n 2nd, Schumacher retiring and trying 2 batter Coulthard, oh and a massive pile up at the start. What a race!!! :cheezy:
Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
I don't remember my real frist grand prix because I have actually watched F1 since I was a baby because my father started watching F1 during the big Schumacher hype in 1994. The first race I can remember watching was in 1997, I think the Austrian GP, but certainly the European GP at Jerez I can remember. In that Jerez race I wanted Schumi to win and my father actually was Schumi and Villeneuve fan. At the end of the race I felt a bit sad because Schumacher didn't win the championship. I lost my sympathy for Schumacher ironically in 1999 when he was injured. From then on I have been a big Mika/Kimi fan

It was Estorill Portugal 1993, Mika Häkkinen's first race for McLaren.

I don't remember the first race i've watched but i think it was in 1995 !
Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
quite a bit difficult to see alesi win. He only won 1 race - in Canada. His Ferrari wasn't that reliable.michealdoyle wrote:the first race I watched was the 1995 Japanese GP, and it was a good one. I thought alesi would win.

First GP I watched on TV that I remeber was 1979 dutch GP. Giles lost the rear wheel but still tried to carry on, dragging it behind him. I'm sure I'd watch some before as my dad was a big F1 fan. He even took me to the British GP in 1976 when I was just over a month old, he was a pit marshall and that year he was looking after one James Hunt who even had his pic took with me in his arms (fag in mouth!!!)

Re: First Grand Prix You Watched
Well the first one I can remember clearly was Belgium 98 - Great one to start eh?
The crash at the start along with the high emotions after the MS-DC incident pulled me into F1.

The first Grand Prix I ever watched was a race around 2002 or 2001 I can still remember I saw Alex Yoong, driving a Minardi but i don't know if it was 2002 or 2001 and I think I watched the 2002 Australian GP. The first race I can exactly remember is the 2003 Brazilian GP. I'll never forget this race, because of it's uniqueness. I think this is also the reason why I love wet races so much osweat: . At this time I was 10 years old.
