The Sonics, The Stooges, CCR, The Kingsmen, The MC5, The 13th Floor Elevators, The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, The Doors, The Ramones, The Jam, Talking Heads, Big Black, Joy Division, Gang of Four, Mission of Burma, The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., Jesus and Mary Chain, Fugazi, Yo La Tengo, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Melvins, Tool, Screaming Trees, My Bloody Valentine, Mudhoney, Elliott Smith, Mad Season, Kyuss, Fu Manchu, PJ Harvey, Queens of the Stone Age, Mark Lanegan, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Portishead, Death From Above 1979, Twilight Singers, The Gutter Twins, Belle and Sebastian, The Kills, Eagles of Death Metal.

There is so much more, and I couldn't decide a favourite band. But yeah. There's lots.

OK music i suppose

I'm more of a rock person but do like some other music (Coldplay are OK).

Best bands are Muse, My Chemical Romance, Lostprophets, Green Day, 30 seconds to Mars, Sixx A.M, Eagles of Death Metal.

Oh yeah, I love the Eagles of Death Metal! Directly influenced by the Sonics I might add. Yeah, nearly everything up there is alt. rock/hard rock/garage rock, with a little new wave and electronica.
