Yes, but COOL at the same time. You have to wish that F1 were as willing to allow the teams to experiment with aero as they used too. It was too bad FIA didn't let BMW continue with those vertical wings.

Yeah it`s ugly and this was a really bad year for Mclaren, they had a lot of different drivers in the season and a terrible car. Also Mika almost lost his life in Adelaide with this thing.

Without the midwings, that car is not so ugly

I really loved that BAR-car and I think it's bad that they didn't use both car the following years.
The Tyrell car didn't look that ugly with those "winglets"(?) but the Ferrari really looked embarassing with them.

But the ugliest car ever is the Honda from 2007. Nice idea with that world on it, but it was too ugly. Not too bad, that they didn't made anything..
