Re: 2008 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix
I'm really happy with the result, go Ferrari, go Massa!
Re: 2008 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix
Last minutes of Qual. That was very unfair for Heidfeld and Alonso as the others were going so slowly saving fuel. That rule has to be changed in the name of safety if nothing else. It's nonsene...

Great Team work Ferrari
Re: 2008 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix
So Felipe stuffed it to me and put together an excellent lap for pole. I feel like Kimi made a mistake in Q3 which is what allowed Felipe to grab pole. Should be interesting first corner but I think Felipe will be aggressive, Kimi will follow and take him in the pits. Were the McLaren's heavy on fuel?
PS
The BMW looks like a dragon or an x-wing from the front. I like it. I hope to see a great race from them and definately hope they were heavy.

Well, obviously they (Macas) are very upset and frustrated with q3 performances , and just drove like they were in the park @Hug @Hug , never minding that other drivers are on their hot laps , maybe did it on purpose... cause you never know, The BMW of Nick might split the two Macas or even snatch 3rd posi. Shame and lame tricks for the silver arrows...let the race unfold with more interesting events that might fall..

Yeah, I guess nobody noticed at the end that Heidfeld was still on his flying lap.
Anyway, Kimi was in good form in Q2, but slower than Massa in Q3. Massa did his best laps there, though, and Kimi said that he had problems so the fuel difference between them might not be so high after all.
As for McLaren, they're probably heavier because they knew that Ferrari was going faster. Heikki was constantly the faster McLaren driver so it will be interesting to see if he has a better strategy this time.
Despite all fears and Renault's prediction, there was no rain during qualifying. But if it's a wet race, then it can change everything. The ones in the front should have the advantage, though.

Allen and Brundle are suggesting some sort of minimum speed that drivers who elect to save fuel must keep in order to avoid any unsafe speed differentials

That would be goodiceman1 wrote:Allen and Brundle are suggesting some sort of minimum speed that drivers who elect to save fuel must keep in order to avoid any unsafe speed differentials
