2008 Formula 1 ING Australian Grand Prix
Re: 2008 Formula 1 ING Australian Grand Prix
Ferrari drivers messed up royally, it can't be helped.
Hamilton drove a faultless race, congrats to him.
So did Alonso, Nico and Heidfeld. And I may be biased but Alonso putting that horrible Renault fourth was just brilliant. @Hug

ah yeah rightxyneid wrote:so will he take another penalty of that? Then, why didn't stewards give him a black flag instead of giving 10 seconds penalty?
Re: 2008 Formula 1 ING Australian Grand Prix
I believe that Barrichello got his 10 sec penalty for fueling his car during the SC period, but nothing was mentioned about the lights. Funny if they don't do anything, because in last years it has ALWAYS resulted in a black flag and one red team might be eager to protest now.
Too bad if it was Heikki's fault that Alonso caught him at the straight. :?

So what's up with McLaren then? Are the steering wheel's buttons arranged so badly that the drivers press them every now and then?

Italian Tv stations are biased to their teams be it football or F1 for Ferrari their teams are always best then when things go wrong poor management staff of the teams they are bullied by their newspapers haha.maltafan wrote:watch the race on Italian TV and see the BIAS of the Italians.....Silver Shadow wrote:The bias of the British...xyneid wrote:ITV, now, is showing a compiled video footages of Ferrari drivers' mistakes instead of talking about the race!
What kind of an approach is this?
GO Williams GO Nico and Nakajima although his race was not so good, the season ahead looks interesting looking forward for Malaysia !!

Definitely did it. I think from now on, they must change the position of buttons osweat:iceman1 wrote:Hamilton did hit neutral at Interlagos last yearAzShadow wrote:

Yes, he must have been black flagged but stewards gave him 10 seconds penalty. I don't believe they will sanction another penalty on that.AzShadow wrote:I believe that Barrichello got his 10 sec penalty for fueling his car during the SC period, but nothing was mentioned about the lights. McLaren needs to re-design their buttons osweat:AzShadow wrote:So what's up with McLaren then? Are the steering wheel's buttons arranged so badly that the drivers press them every now and then?
BMW don't appear to be able to work out the best strategy for their drivers, I hope in Malaysia with more aerodynamics demand they can do something

BMW was still second. So not so bad strategy.
Barrichello also did better than I would never have expected and Brawn's strategy seemed to work, at least until the safety car incident.

DC wants an apologize From Massa osweat:Coulthard slams Massa for shunt
16 March 2008
David Coulthard slammed Felipe Massa, claiming the Ferrari driver rammed him off track when the Brazilian tagged the rear of the Red Bull while trying to pass. Coulthard was sent into the tyre barriers while Massa recovered and the safety car was deployed.
"Obviously Felipe is in a quicker car, but you've got to pass someone, you can't just ram into them," Coulthard said. "Obviously I had contact with Alex Wurz last year and I took responsibility for that incident and I'd expect Massa to take the responsibility too."
Re: 2008 Formula 1 ING Australian Grand Prix
I was surprised that Massa didn't get penalty for it, but I guess the incident was mutual. Obviously Coulthard is pissed off, because this was the race where everyone wanted to last to the finish line.
Re: 2008 Formula 1 ING Australian Grand Prix
I hadn't the chance to watch the race but I read that only 7 cars made it into the goal. What was going on there actually??
