In Q3 where everyone was lapping their golden laps, Massa did a slow lap time. For that, I suspect he wanted to save fuel and -maybe- will make extra 2-3 laps while others are to pit. Ferrari may be heavy and BMW may be light. If this is not the case, 2008 will really be interesting.
Come on Kimi.
Come on Kimi.

Re: 2008 Formula 1 ING Australian Grand Prix
Ok, did anyone else think the new Quali system is s**t?
So we had basically no one running in the firs 10 min of Q3 (the damn thing is too long now and the top teams only need to do one flyer to go on). So much for more action
Then worst of all Q1. I absolutely hated it. There were about 4-5 min with no action but them Toyotas on track and then we had veeeery slow outlaps and inlaps , Vettel and Massa choosing to not do a a flyer or to do only one respectively in order to save fuel. :tired:
Ok, I agree that the fuel burn period last year was bad, but hey, at least we got to see them on track for the whole 15 min and we didn't have the uncertanity of someone choosing not to run in order to save fuel.
There are better solutions for Q3, l particularly liked one that i read on another forum that suggested letting teams that get in the top 10 nominate the quantity of fuel they want to start the race with before the beginning of Q3 and letting them go light in Q3 and fight it out. And then we wold have spectacle and some uncertainty for the race.I think it would be great. But no chance from those suits of thinking with their brain than with their backside, not a single one, is there?

I don't like either but in terms of "fuel" and "sources of world", this is much more acceptable. In those fuel burn phases, I always felt that the fuel was wasted.Lilellatho wrote:Ok, did anyone else think the new Quali system is s**t?
Yet, this is not gonna be the case after two or three qualification. I think they're to make a bit change in order to bring some enthusiasm and fun. This is realy boring. It in a way resembles to what we had before in one-lap shoot out format.

Alonso lost alot of time in the final sector and was unhappy with the balance, Nelson hasn't been that far off Alonso in testing, hopefully he'll do something tomorrow .
