It's still early days, but things looking good for Alonso.
1st to 10th seperated by half a second, should make for great qualifying.

And BMW best of all.

McLaren and Ferrari nowhere in this session.

Will be a VERY interesting qualy. No room for mistakes, the grid looks very tight.

when the track started to rubber up every man and their dog tried to get on to set a fast time the ferraris and mclarens got held up on fast laps by traffic also there is talk of alot of bmw's running light on fuel but qualifying will be where the results count if its anything like p3 it will be very interesting

Had it been McLaren or Ferrari that far down by themselves, then I would be surprised. To see that they were both so close in the running tells me one of two things.
A. They were not simulating Qualifying
B. They were held up by a lot of traffic.

I'm pretty sure it's the former. If you read into the times, on race levels, Ferrari and McLaren are going to be neck and neck.

I didn't watch the practice, but I read that the top teams were held by traffic in their fast laps.

Anyway, 2008, bring it on! :T:@

Kovalainen did a 10 lap long run, I'm not sure on what tyres (suspect is the hard compound). Hamilton I believe was caught in traffic, based on his sector times in S1 and S3.

Both McLaren and Ferrari have not played their final hand, I would be surprised if they did not pace to burn.
