2008 F1 season decided before it starts

Trulli says "In my opinion, even compared to McLaren, they are at least half a second faster per lap (ahead of the rest). Good night then, I feel the championship is already over even before the start,"

so we're heading for another 2004 season?

Just because Trulli says so? The teams haven't even tested together with the newest parts yet. And McLaren has the most reliable car at the moment whereas Ferrari has suffered from many problems so that ought to even the scores quite a bit.

let's hope you are right.
furthermore, it would be really great for the sport if we had - let's say - 4 teams competing for the championschip, not only 2.

When testing without Traction Control started, Massa was having a hard time. Although now Massa is more better and does not fall off every lap
Renault haven't been running flat out in the tests up until now, they've been doing setup and reliability work.

let's hope not......although in my "unbiased" opinion :nosweat: i think it will be a close battle between mclaren and ferrari. as for the #3 team, a toss up between redbull, bmw and renault

I agree with Iceman here. I think that Traction Control is going to change the cards on the table, going for more driver ability rather than car ability. Therefore, Massa should suffer a bit, while Heikki and Lewis should be better.

Teams are still not using their latest technology during testing.

I also think, that now, without the Traction Control, it's more important how good a driver is and not how fast his car is. It will be interesting to see which drivers are better without the Traction Control, and which are slower.

Yeah, it's true that you always need a good car to win, but the lack of TC should highlight the difference between the skills of the teammates at least. And that's what makes it interesting.

they always change em rules then bring em back again....they're very fickle minded :tired: wanna bet that sometime soon they would revert back to the 1 hr, 12 lap quali session and go back to the 10-6-4-3-2-1 points system :cheezy: :nosweat: !yahoo:

So all of this is for nothing?

Wouldn't be the first time, but this doesn't really fit to the FIA's so-called cost cutting scheme.
