True, although its still a German engine.
But how come you didn't see Pedro de la Rosa and Fernando Alonso driving together? They're both Spanish. I mean, this time, there would be three nationalities, but the fans relate most to the drivers, not the sponsors or the team. And face it, many people have their prejudices, even though we have to be more than diplomatic in this world. Two drivers of the same nationality just doesn't go well in an F1 team. It goes very well in an A1 team.

A case in point would be Super Aguri last year...

why 'drivers aren't rushing to the team' to vacate the drivers seat.

1) Because they know Hamilton will over rule their 2008 season.
2) The car is under so much scrutiny for 2008 over the stupid, boring spying story.
3) McLaren are $100,000,000 out of pocket.
4) McLaren aren't really the FIA's favorite team in F1 at the moment.

Uhm, McLaren will still be one of the top cars out there so I'm sure almost everyone would grab the chance if they could, despite of Hamilton, spy stories or anything.

Yeah, sure it's a great team, but the atmosphere within the team doesn't seem all that great: Alonso said it, Montoya did also and Kimi, well, suggested it.:
And I don't think any of the rising stars would be willing to play second fiddle to Hami, as I'm sure that next year McLaren will go against their long time politics and will have him as the no.1 driver. &doh
Some of the older guys, who risk losing a race seat for the future, might accept but not the others, methinks.

Joke of the day. Schumacher linked to McLaren for 2008.
