Where will be Alonso in 2008?
Re: Where will be Alonso in 2008?
Ghosn will only allow Alonso to join if for three years while Flavio would be happy even for one so says the news coming from Italy and Spain.
Ghosn: "It's three years or nothing."
Briatore said it is Renault, Toyota or Red Bull. These are the teams that have made offers.

Re: Where will be Alonso in 2008?
Alonso will be signing for Renault cuz he has 2 chance Red Bull and Renault so he's not that stupid to choose Red Bull but there is some important things about Renault too espacially Renault's Spying case i think he's worried about this matter..
4ever McLaren...

Alonso is only trying to make himself more valuable to the teams wanting him.Lilellatho wrote:Lol. :@:2 But you almost gave me a heartattack with that one, iceman. You little prankster, you...

According to reports in the Spanish press, double world champion Fernando Alonso is hesitating to sign on the dotted line of a new contract at Renault, despite team boss Flavio Briatore confident that the Spaniard will soon be back on board.
AS reports that the French based squad have put a three year deal on the table and Alonso is far from happy with the length and refuses to give into pressure from his former team boss.
Meanwhile, Telecinco, a television station in the driver’s home country, confirms this rumour stating that things have cooled somewhat in recent days and states that Fernando is more interested in the deal put forward by energy drink conglomerate, Red Bull, to race in their main team.
Re: Where will be Alonso in 2008?
Alonso will definitely wait what FIA will decide about this new spysaga issue concerning Renault. As for Red Bull, I'm not really sure what Alonso could achieve there. The team is getting better and better but it's not really on the level Alonso is used to be.

DC says that he's 100% staying at RedBull and doesn't understand why there are rumours that say Alonso is going to go there.AzShadow wrote:As for Red Bull, I'm not really sure what Alonso could achieve there. Re: Where will be Alonso in 2008?
Well, Coulthard can shout and reassure himself all he wants, but I'm sure the team wouldn't exactly say no to Alonso if they were in that situation.

Gene: No room at Ferrari for Alonso
http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/n ... 1019.shtml
So Alonso has to go for at least 2 years contract with some team and then hope he could get a spot at Ferrari in 2010.
If McLaren and Ferrari stay as the only top teams, it could be pretty difficult for Alonso to find a competitive car anymore, at least for the next few years. Anything can happen with the lack of TC and new things, though. Still, with these engine freeze rules etc FIA has pretty much guaranteed who will have the best engines for the next 10 years and so on.

He's going to sign for every team
I'm sure Button would be absolutely thrilled with a McLaren seat..

Maybe he replaces Barrichello, not Button.
Dunno, lots of things are being said about his future, but nothing is of a certain weight.
