Re: 2007 FORMULA 1 Japanese Grand Prix-Fuji Speedway-
Okay, i'm kinda pissed off at the world so !grin!
Anyway, where do i start? ok ...Ferrari... a team i've been living for since i know of myself... I have to say in these past 17-20 years there have been 2-3 moments where i was embarrased to say i'm a ferrari fan, and this race is one of them.
1. Okay so its pouring rain, no clear sky in sight, EVERYONE on the grid is on full wet tires, then someone in Ferrari says, well everyone else in F1 must be wrong and lets put on intermediate tires. what was that all about? as a consequence Massa spun, as did Kimi.
2. What's with the pit stops guys? When they finally realised (after 2 laps!!) that intermediates won't work, that same guy who said lets go intermediate said, well lets put a bit of fuel in, we're last anyways if we change tires...
That's all great but why going twice when you could have tanked up in the 1st pitstop?
And then there's Massa's drive through, and Ferrari deciding to wait for the SC to go in so that Massa can do his penalty!!
3. Finally, that Massa pitstop 12 laps to go... that's real nice, but what would have been better was if he stopped 2 laps to go
Team strategy for Ferrari today looks like it was made up by a 6 year old, but probably not, because even a 6yo could have come up with better stuff.
I am really dissapointed because this was a great oportunity missed, and both Kimi and Massa had to work overtime to make up for their team's mistakes.

Intermediates, that was the stupidest thing EVER !grin! Great job by Vettel(!), Hamilton and Kovalainen $peaceLightning983 wrote:1. Re: 2007 FORMULA 1 Japanese Grand Prix-Fuji Speedway-
Okay, now after i got that last bit out of my system !grin! !grin!
The race itself... well the first SC part wasn't very fun !grin! but later when they got going i was impressed with how the drivers were handling the track conditions.
A few great passes, Kubica on Hamilton, Heidfeld, Coultard and Kubica on Alonso i think... and definatley Kimi on Coultard, and almost on Kovaleinen
The biggest loser of the GP was the TV director... that generally sucked for us who don't watch premiere
I mean first in qually, yeah i really, really wanna watch Button doing his lap when Hamilton is fighting for pole
I know its Japan, but really who cares if Toyotas, Hondas and Super Aguris are fighting for the last 4 places (well actually driving one behind the other) while Kimi fights it out with Coultard, not to mention that we never saw how Vettel hit Webber, how Alonso crashed... and a bunch of other stuff.
Really lame.
what else... oh yeah when Vettel hit Webber... i was like what the f....? i was SOOO angry, but then when i saw poor Vettel in the pits... i think he was crying or something... he's only like 19? but that was a great oportunity missed. I think he's gonna regret it for a looooong time.
And i also think Kimi would have been 5th if those 2 were still in the race.

Okay we know He drove a GREAT race, and deserved the win... but to be 100% honest, i think Mark would have maybe won the race if not for the crash... he was faster than Hamilton and was on the same strategy.xman2331 wrote:LEWIS WINS YEA B|ATCHES!!! HAHAHAHA TOO BAD ALONSO CRYYY
But still a great race from Alonso untill he crashed, and before we know if anything was wrong with the car, don't start gloating. Because the same can happen to Hamilton in the following 2 races... (BTW i really don't like Alonso... but still when any driver drives good you have to give him some credit)

so let's just hope F~0~M will be doing to coverage in Brazil %Biggrin
A rumour says that Ralf simply parked his car in the pits due to "some technical thingy", but was forced out to continue the race, the car was fine.
Another rumour says that Ralf will do endurance racing for Audi next year

Re: 2007 FORMULA 1 Japanese Grand Prix-Fuji Speedway-
i think the best duel of the race was the end with kubica and massa. they overtook each other like 3 times each i think. crazy how massa comes out on top though after getting pushed off on the final corner. But nice

Re: 2007 FORMULA 1 Japanese Grand Prix-Fuji Speedway-
but ya i agree they shouldn't have ran the race so many laps in the beginning behind SC. They let the race run in the end and I thought the rain was worst in the 2nd half of the race. They should have just let them run it from the start. Oh well
Lets go back to suzuka now plz...
