Who is the out right quicker driver of the 2. excluding how long they have been in F1, how old they are, who has more potential, getting used to the tires etc etc. who hands down is the quicker driver?

hard one....well, the one who out quali's the other the most, has quicker race lap times and more race wins is the quicker one....your guess is as good as mine @Beer

Fernando.

Lewis is quick too, but........

Qualifying doesn't say much, since all drivers have different fuel loads in Q3.

Q2 is a better measurement of true speed since all drivers are low-fuel there.

Season so far:

Q2 - FA quicker 8 times, LH quicker 6 times.

FL of race - FA 3, LH 1.

Triplets (pole, FL, race win) FA 1, LH 0

Race wins - FA 4, LH 3

Alonso was quicker in race in Australia, Malaysia, Monaco, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Belgium

Hamilton was quicker in Bahrain, Spain, Canada, USA, France, Hungary, Turkey

So totally even there.

All in all - Alonso wins by some margin!

I would say Fernando, I think he can be a lot quicker (obviously the Bridgestones don't help him)... I think like Kimi he is natrually quick, the way he drives into corners gives him a lot more time to play with and also like Kimi if he didn't mess up in quali so much he'd have so many more poles

...

There is only one driver faster than Alonso in F1 these days,
and it aint lewis-crymeariver-hamilton [think of car 6],
so Alonso all the way

Lewis is extremely good, no one could deny that. But the thing is, he is still new and he has raced in F1 races less than 14 times. To compare him with Alonso, who holds the record for being the youngest world champion (two-time at that) is totally unfair to Alonso.

They are quite close all the time. However, if Alonso is faster overall I think LH is more consistent.
