And its just hit me. Webber isn't on the grid this year. That means theres only Alonso on the grid I support now. When he is gone, F1 will never be the same

3 years later it will get better again for 3 years, then there's something missing again.mikhailv wrote:And its just hit me. Webber isn't on the grid this year. That means theres only Alonso on the grid I support now. When he is gone, F1 will never be the same
Re: 2014 Formula One Discussion
Lol when Alonso goes my interest will. Its not fun watching without the passionate support of a driver. Originally it was Alonso, Kubica and Webber.
Re: 2014 Formula One Discussion
You say 3 times a year that your interest is waning and that the sport isn't watching anymore. You've said several times you were done with it. You're still here
Re: 2014 Formula One Discussion
Ive never said ive done with the sport. Ive said im done with a season. Look at last year; didnt bother with the last few races and stopped watching.
My point is that to me, watching a Motorsport as a casual is boring. Not having anyone to support is boring. Lorenzo is Moto GP, Alonso is F1 and Plato is BTCC. When they go I wont be interested, the passion is supporting win or lose. The nerves at the start. The willing of your driver on.
When thats gone its watching drivers who you dont care about for 'good racing'.

Another one will come. At the moment only a handful of drivers seem exciting, but in a couple of yrs or so some of the younger guys should start making impressions, and the interest is renewed.... hopefully.
Re: 2014 Formula One Discussion
I tought the same when MSC left F1, but i quickly found my new hero and it wasnt boring at all when he left...
So the fire is still there...

This doesn't bode well at all for the sport. It seems like race organisers think the current formula isn't worth their money...

Oh wow, suing F1 for not delivering enough noise? Cry me a river, Ron.
The only positive in that is that if all race organisers do think F1 isn't worth as much as it's asking, this could eventually lead to a decrease of the ridiculous hosting fees, and force F1 to further question its absurd economic model.
The Aussie fans sure sounded unhappy when Ricciardo crossed the finish line.
