It looks nice in the dark.
But will or can they test in the dark with lights on track?

No. Regulations stipulate that testing is only permitted between 09:00 and 18:00 local time.

For all the fuss about the cars being much slower, the fastest time in testing is quicker than last year's fastest race lap.

"Race lap", it's still +4.55s to Pole lap. But it's only fifth day of testing ;) It will be little slower, not much slower. In qualifying, not sure about race. If they have to manage fuel consumption it can be much slower on some track.

Change that bet to Mclaren while you still have time phil :zz:

Not only because of this laptime (1,5s over anybody else's), but Mercedes' nose solution is likely not ideal and Mclaren have an ace in their sleeves with that rear suspension. :n

Well, I already said this many times on tbk but maybe some people here don't access that forum, so I'll say it here as well. It's believed that the total power of the 2014 PUs can achieve well over 800HP, which would explain these laptimes.

McLaren thought they had an ace up their sleeves in 2013 until they realised they put the rear suspension on upside down.

Magnussen's time was on soft tyres and low fuel autosport reported, especially as they missed the morning session due to problems. Amus reported that Hulkenbergs time was softs, Alonso and Rosberg were mediums.

I read on autosport live that Magnussen's time was done on a short stint and with SUPER soft tyres

It seems Red Bull won't take part in the final day tomorrow.

I read that too but Pirelli didn't bring super soft tyres, so I thought it was a mistake?

RBR packing up today would be major.
