We probably won't see the true speed until a few races in. These power units are massively complex.

Here's what Remi Taffin had to say: http://www.f1zone.net/news/renault-issu ... ing/23443/
Plus Gutierrez: http://www.f1zone.net/news/gutierrez-en ... eel/23445/

It sounds like a GP2 or DTM car, and it aint loud.. doesnt represent F1.
You can clearly see the speed difference in the video.
I know that we will get used to it, but if you compare it, the new cars are very slow. Theyll need 20sec to get to T1 in Melbourne.

There you go:

*sigh*

You do realise the cars aren't even pushing? You realise that the engines aren't even revving upto 15k yet? Ferrari said theyre only going upto 10,000rpm right now. Speed is not what Jerez is about, getting a car that works is what Jerez is about. Bahrain is when testing starts....
Yeah, no one is pushing to set times yet.

Had to laugh at people declaring a 'farce' due to lack of running on day 1 of testing. What do people expect? It's day 1 of testing.

People always have to find something to complain about.

I should have a feature up soon with a little bit of analysis - obviously it's difficult at this early stage.

Thanks. Unfortunately I'm travelling tomorrow so we won't have trackside updates!

Nice... Haven't realized this. Hopefully it's not some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. :p
