mikhailv wrote:Ill be going to the London round for sure! This really excites me because theres alot of innovation involved. Its abit weird as we're used to slicks or those naff looking grooves. I guess on the move we wont really notice, but imagine some awsome tread patterns though like my Yokohama semi's;

I bet they do go slick tyres though. Be good if the Formula created a single tyre which is used in both dry AND wet; imagine a tyre which has supreme handling and grip in the dry but also amazing water displacement and grip; a rubber able to operate and both cool and hot temeperatures to give phenomenal grip in both conditions.

(I really, REALLY love tyres lmao!)
YOU'RE going to a Formula E race? Mikhail, are you feeling alright?

The sound might be c**p, but the innovation excites me. Its what F1 is missing and it bores me. And call me Andy or Andrew lol!

Looks like Perelli has signed on for another 5 years. I don't see how any other manufacturer could have been ready for 2014 given the lack of time available.
Treaded tires on an F1 car in the dry? Lunacy.

I see Kimi has signed on with Ferrari. Thank goodness he won't be going to Red Bull. I can't wait to hear 'Alonso, he's faster than you" or vice versa. Any of you think Kimi will follow team orders? I don't. You can't have two Kings in one castle.

We (Oana, not me) sat down with Force India's Otmar Szafnauer at Spa - it's a good read!

Cool.
Force India deserves a lot of respect.

Have to laugh at Christian Horner 'sticking up' for the small teams. He's never been one to care, all his deals with F~0~M and opposition to cost cutting. But when it comes to the 2014 regulations he jumps to their defence, because he says changing rules is too expensive. Of course his real concern is he thinks the new regulations could end Red Bull's dominance.

He might try to put a spin on it, but everything he says comes back to preserving Red Bull's position at the top. On other cost cutting measures he opposed them because he thought it would hurt Red Bull. But like Tony Fernandes says you need a sport and that means making it more sustainable for small teams. What Horner thinks is good for Red Bull might not be if it's bad for F1 as a whole.

To be ratified on Friday
March 16 - Australia (Melbourne)
March 23 - Malaysia (Sepang)
April 6 - Korea (Korea International Circuit)*
April 13 – China (Shanghai)
April 27 – Bahrain (Sakhir)
May 11 – Spain (Barcelona)
May 25 – Monaco (Monaco)
June 1 – TO BE CONFIRMED
June 8 – Canada (Montreal)
June 22 – Austria (Spielberg)
July 6 – Britain (Silverstone)
July 20 – Germany (Hockenheim)
July 27 – Hungary (Budapest)
August 24 – Belgium (Spa)
September 7 – Italy (Monza)
September 21 – Singapore (Marina Bay)
October 5 - Japan (Suzuka)
October 19 – Russia (Sochi)
October 26 – Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina)
November 9 – Mexico (Mexico City)*
November 16 – USA (Austin)
November 30 – Brazil (Interlagos)
Add in 4 tests and this is going to be so tough. I know people say 'oh it's only a few more races', but when you're in F1, it's 5 days per race. More if you're part of the team. It's draining.

Korea-China back to back will be terrible for those who work in the sport! :p
