On other 2014 rumours, these Maldonado to Lotus ones. Just what the. Hope there's nothing in it. Would be so sad to see a team that's been as successful as Lotus recently having to take on Maldonado. $$$

Although, we could have him and Grosjean in the same team.
Why don't you like Maldonado? He's a good driver, bad drivers don't win races in the type of car he won in.
The kind of car which takes pole?
I wonder what (former Lotus driver) Bruno Senna would say about that...

Nope. My point is, Maldonado certainly has speed, he's shown that by beating his teammates regularly in qualifying. I think a move to Lotus might actually be good for him as he would have more pressure on him to be more mature and consistent in the races.

I never said he didn't have speed, but (as with Grosjean) speed is not enough.

According to Sport Bild, Vettel extended his contract with Red Bull until 2015!

Well, the press release hadn't arrived yet, but Sport Bild usually are very good!

Part of the fallout from the testgate scandal could be that Charlie Whiting is replaced by Giorgio Ascanelli (AMuS)

Hmmm, so rumours of an e-mail from Whiting to Brawn / Mercedes might be true?

Well Christian Horner has said it is still too early to judge either of the two STR drivers. So I'd assume then that he's saying neither of them will be picked for 2014 and will probably remain with STR for one further year.

If neither get picked, its completely pointless having STR. What more would Ricciardo learn for example at STR? He first came into F1 in 2011 for gods sake. This will be his 3rd year and Vergne's second. All we heard was 'buemi isn't ready' or 'speed is rubbish (true)' and all that.

I hate the fact that we have an entrant into Formula 1 which has no desire to progress forward, no desire to actually win and is purely there for its brother team to use to manipulate the sport and dump academy drivers over and over.
