I doubt the current spec of Google Glass technology can withstand the forces of F1. But I'd expect the technology to be developed into something that you'll in many sports in the next few years.

The app is free but to get any live timing (or indeed anything useful) you have to pay 24 quid. Apart from that it's just an F1 info app.

Viewing the tv guide, I see that Abu Dhabi Sports does have the rights for the Formula One, although they show only the premium channels, probably to convince the people to subscribe to their sport package.
