I'd forgotten about the di Resta brothel. His grandfather runs one doesn't he?

It's a shame Jaime's not in F1 any more, he was just coming good. He's been quiet for a while, remember when he said he'd definitely be on the grid in 2013? He says he'd been assured a seat for a while in that article. Force India? They had been planning on keeping Hulkenberg and di Resta before September I believe. Maybe it was Sauber, before Hulkenberg became available?

The rumours pointed to Sauber at first, but then to Force India once Hulkenberg moved on. The fact that Alguersuari went to Silverstone last week suggests to me that they informed him then that he wouldn't be required in 2013.

Problem with Jaime is, he was on the redbull circuit and they promptly dropped him. The only non RB driver which was picked up again was Liuzzi and Klien for HRT and they shared a year didnt they?

So Liuzzi, Klien, Speed and Bourdais were never picked up for an equal to or better team, Bourdais naturally wasn't RB academy. But Buemi was kept as test driver (who I thought was c**p), Alguesari's non-ball sucking attitude is what got him cast out the academy IMO, he didnt take no c**p and gave it back.

Only one team sempt to be interested and they decided against him over a pay driver one presumes. If he truly did have a guarantee in his mind, he shouldve forced a signature on paper, otherwise you cant bemoan not being took on; anyone can say 'yeah we will have you' but until you get pen to paper, its never a deal.

He shouldve got pen to paper or took other drivers. It was abit foolish turning everything else down on an informal half-promise; if the team was serious about wanting you then you would put friendly pressure on by saying 'hey, i got many offers, your first choice but if your not going to give me a written guarantee im gone'.

Bourdais naturally wasn't RB academy.

The irony with this part of your post is that their most recognizably successful driver also naturally wasn't RB academy. For the entire RB academy, the funding, all the drivers that have been put through and left on the sidelines, Red Bull can actually only claim half a World Champion.
