Hi guys i know everybody thinks Esteban Gutierrez Will be the second driver in Sauber, Any toughts about second driver in Lotus?

these are the lastest words fron Esteban to a newspaper in Mexico:

Gutierrez said its options for Formula One 2013 will not only reduce Sauber.

"A sport like Formula One is a very narrow in places, so one must be prepared for every situation, we definitely have to be open to take other opportunities, or accelerate other opportunities, is something we consider"

a partnership between Telmex and Lotus already happen in GP2, and the annoucement of Niko to drive for Sauber gets the people in Escuderia Telmex somehow unhhapy if Sauber don´t make an announcment of Esteban as Second driver in Austin Chances of run with Lotus will be very high!

Mallya said if Hulk leaves his team, then his best choice would be Sutil. But what about Jaime? We didn't hear anything from him for a while.

Sutil is probably the safer bet. I'm not really seeing what the fuss is about with Algesuari.

According MTV3 Force India has told Kovalainen that they will not hire him. Instead Force India will get a driver which brings in money. In practice Heikki's only chance now is Caterham, which is still thinking their options. Heikki has told to MTV3 that due to economical reasons the team might end up using two pay driver.

So Heikki might be out of F1 completely.

Sutil has some money and is a known quantity... Would be a real shame if Force India were to resort to taking a driver with money though. They've taken drivers on pure merit the last few seasons. Would be one less team doing that. :(

Petrov's manager says the contract is almost done but will only be finalised after Brazil.

Translation: If Caterham get 10th, he stays. If they don't, then bienvenue Charles Pic.

So Pic has more money than Petrov? To be honest, I just see Pic as a better signing.

Yes, and to be honest Petrov hasn't been too impressive. I'd like to see Pic there. I reckon Abiteboul's appointment could help too...

I don't get it. Caterham said they want to build a strong team for the future and that's why Heikki joined them. I can't see how will they be able to fight in 2013 with 2 new "paid" drivers. It's like starting all over again.

Drivers are the least of their problems. Everyone thought that they would be somewhat close to the midfield this season, but they still belong to bottom 3. They need to improve, and that needs money. Car improves, drivers want to race in it, and selecting talented drivers won't become a problem anymore.

Drivers do matter. Giedo van der Garde isn't a fast driver; he's been in FR3.5 + GP2 for so many years and if they hire him I'll lose respect for them a lot.

Kovalainen and Pic would be a very good combination. 2014 is the key with the new regulations. 2013 is a write off really, so maybe they should take pay drivers... but then how will that affect 2014...

It won't matter if you have the fastest car. Look at Maurssia, they could get the 10th place in WCC because Glock is very good in Singapore.

everything alway's comes down to money, sadly it will be a driver who brings sponsership who will get the drive and not someone with talent.

Heikki deserves a good drive, he was treated bad at Mclaren and he only got one year at Renault.
Would be a pleasure to see Kimi and Heikki in Lotus and Grosjean/Alonso at Ferrari!

Although, one thing striked me, why not go back to GP2 (since he hasnt won the serie) and rape all the people who believe they are F1-material?
