It's easy to say that if you think you won't actually have to make a decision on it. :p

They need money though, so I'm sure Sauber will think carefully.

Schumacher says he had 3 beautiful years at Mercedes even though it didn't work out as they had hoped in first place. He wishes Lewis success and will concentrate on the next races. No word of retirement etc.

Schumacher could go to Ferrari. They want an experience driver, right?

Schumacher would be no better than Massa. Ferrari want to keep Alonso happy, so Massa will stay

It wouldn't happen at all.

Schumacher could just buy Sauber if he really wanted to stay that badly. :p

somehow I find Schumacher's silence very strange...

Schumacher hasn't been silent.

"I have had three nice years with the team which unfortunately did not go as well as we all would have wanted on the sporting side. I wish Lewis well and for the team to achieve the success we worked so hard for in the build-up. I would like to thank the team for their trust and all the guys for their unconditional commitment. I will now concentrate on the next races."

I feel sorry for Schumacher, they always push him out of F1. I remember Luca asked him to retire in 2006 and the same happened today but with another team.

I think eleanor meant Schumacher's silence on the future.

This one makes perfect sense to be honest. Even if Schumacher could be solid for another year or two, it's silly to pass on Hamilton for a 43 year old. Plus it's possible Mercedes continuing in F1 relied on getting Hamilton. As Adam Cooper said, 'In 2006 Schumacher stepped out to save Massa's job. I assume that this time he had to go to save 500 jobs in Brackley...'

Adam Cooper is linking Michael with everywhere.

'It would be kinda fun to see Massa repay the favour six years on and give his seat to Michael, but I don't think it will happen...'

'"Schumacher replaces Senna at Williams Renault" is a headline we thought we'd never see! As we've seen, anything is possible...'

Look at Mercedes' post on their Facebook page and the comments, not gone down well.

Doesn't sound like Schumacher was that bothered.

This is good news for Mercedes because the team feels a bit insipid at the moment. Rosberg has the marketability of cold porridge, and on track he's good but nothing special. 2013 will be mega for them.
