2012-13 Silly Season
Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
So it is now Thursday... so much for Wednesday being the day!
Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
Good post phil
I think we need an Italian driver on the grid. I read Buxton's article on F1 Racing magazine and the problem is the Italian drivers can't even manage to find a small sponsorship. F1 has changed and it's all about money.
I like Petrov's manager, she's crazy Last year she criticized Heidfeld for not delivering good results, now she's criticizing Tony Fernandes.

“We’re very pleased for Tony that he has positive news,” said Kosachenko on Tuesday.
“But we’d like it if this news had some sort of connection to the car’s development and not just to Heikki.”
Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
I saw the other day she said 'if there is no money there is no driver' when talking about Petrov getting a drive for next season.
Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
Big question for me is what happens to Sauber. Either they have to sign Gutierrez to keep the Mexican funding or they have a problem.
Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
If Schumacher's retirement isn't confirmed today I'll be worried. Would hate for him to slip away not knowing it's his last race like Rubens did.

BIG NEWS. Perez confirmed as a Mclaren driver for 2013, and his partner will be Jenson Button. So Hamilton is gonna drive for Mercedes, Schumi will probably retire. I don´t like McLaren but I hope Perez does a very good job there and prove to Ferrari how wrong they were.

Avoid the Autosport forums today!
Nice that we can FINALLY see how good Nico Rosberg is!

Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
Some people seem to think this could happen:
I think it's unlikely. But Schumacher's been putting in as much effort as ever lately and no retirement has been announced. Like I say, I don't want him going into the off-season deluded he might have a drive like Rubens did.

Well at least if he's in a Sauber, he reduces the chance of hitting one in Singapore by 50%

Re: 2012-13 Silly Season
Peter Sauber said he would sign Schumacher straightaway if he's available. I thought it was a joke but who knows...
