Good article. I enjoyed it.

Twitter is really useful nowadays, you can send your questions to BBC5 Live or Sky and they'll answer them which was impossible few years ago. I remember I used to go to forums in 2006 to see if a driver got a penalty or not, but now it's all over Twitter in few secs.

Also the digital area of the teams has improved. They send you press releases to your email, etc. I guess AUTOSPORT guys had to go to teams websites to download them in the past.

I'm not really a fan of Twitter. Perhaps as a form of personal communication it can have a place but as a "reliable" source it is just junk. I especially have to laugh when reading about "deleted" tweets. Back in the day of less instantly available garbage, Lewis' tweet couldn't have been "removed" by his PR sensitive handlers. It would have been there forever to show that he is still just a human being like the rest of us.
Most of the internet based "reportage" is still at best only opinion and not very factual. Look at this forum. Mostly it is just fans of particular drivers whining or crowing about their "idols".
The teams and drivers are trotting out the same homilies and catch phrases day after day and it gets regurgitated by the "press" as some kind of unique and thoughtful insight. I no longer watch the driver interviews as I have despaired of getting anything of use.
I expect it to get much worse before it gets any better. Corporate gloss for the most part.

I know, and yet the Sun has enough income to justify this kind of quality of article and be able to send a person to the F1 paddock every race.

I agree with you Phil in that the headline and language in the Sun article is substandard, however the gist is still the same as yours. Mercedes is not saying anything but platitudes and typical sports catch phrases that come from every team about their future.
Does anyone realistically expect Mercedes to come out and say they are very disappointed in Schumacher's performance to date and that they are actively looking for a replacement?
Maybe you could sponsor a contest here for the members to create an article about anything related to F1 and manage to sound like an "official" release.

My point is that the Sun and F1Zone.net was using the same quotes from Ross Brawn. But the headline of the Sun paints a completely different perspective on the rest of the article!

Sensationalism sells. Lets be honest, Every criticised News of the World, and moved onto The Sun on Sunday. WHich used to be called News of the world.

So the best selling Sunday paper, was the sunday edition of the best selling weekly paper, and people just forgot that fact as Murdoch owned both, which is why there was no Sunday Sun as it was NOTW.

British public = hypocritical retards. The people who read F1 columns in the sun and believe it, are just shameful.

Meh, different publications, different purposes. F1Zone is just an F1 site, The Sun is a tabloid and covers a whole range of things. It's not like they're targeted at the same people.

They do what sells. Same with the Daily Mail and Mail Online.

The Sun has no real news. The only time I've read it was when I was waiting for a doctor's appointment and there was one lying around.

You can also tell by the literacy that it's designed for morons.
