McLaren's protege Nyck de Vries won his 2nd kart title at Suzuka and will move up into cars next season

I keep an eye on a few of them who aren't necessarily mainstream (ie, an F1 test driver)

- Alexander Rossi
- Kevin Korjus
- Felipe Nasr

Are another three to look out for

Press talks a lot about nasr here in brazil. and they dont usually talk about young drivers... i hope he drives F1 soon

You should also watch Max Verstappen the son of Jos Verstappen he is also doing a great job

Saw Nasr yesterday, he's doing Daytona this season (a week or so away I believe)

He's 18, already tested for Toro Roso. Yeah, very odd Italian name. :p

Mitch Evans will race in GP3 again, with MW Arden. In that team and with Webber's support he has to be title favourite.

Aaro Vainio will drive for Lotus in this year GP3 series. The Team announced the agreement with the Finn on Friday.

18 years old Vainio raced last GP3 season in Tech Racing team. Now he gets into top team, as Lotus was superior in the series last season and won the championship.

- I'm really excited that I get the opportunity to drive for Lotus GP. This year I have all the basis for success. Equipment and experience are key issues, and the Lotus GP is certainly the best team, Vainio says in the team's press brief.

- I'm going to work hard and do everything for the team to achieve excellent results.

GP3-season starts in May.

Finnish driver Matias Laine will ride again in the coming season in GP3 series.

21 years old Laine will drive this year in MW Arden team. Last season he competed with Marussia Manor team's car.

- This season my goal is to win the championship and I believe that the MW Arden is the best team for me to fight for it, says Laine team's press release.

Last season Laine did not score any points in GP3 Series.

In 2011 MW Arden was second best team in championship fight.

A promising Finnish driver got a deal to Enlish Formula BMW series

Lassi Halminen, from Kangasala Finland, continues his Formula BMW driver career in 2012 season.

During 2011 season Halminen drove Formula BMW in Europe for BMW Motorsport factory team, and despite his young age (15) was very successful. Now Halminen continues his career in England on InterSteps Championship series.

Lassi Halminen has signed a deal with Falcon Motorsport team, which is one of the top teams in the series. Halminen's contract is for one year and it will also allow racing in other formula series in Europe.

InterSteps Championship series begins with Oulton Park's double competition at 24th of March. The series, consisting 23 races, will end on the last weekend on September at Croft.

thanks for all the info people
it is good to see that there is alot of young talent comming through the junior formula's. F1 will have plenty of good talent in the furture.

I was going say there was a lack of spanish driver's but most spanish boy's go motorcycle racing.

Thanks iceman and thanks Phil :thumbsup: There are so many names unknown to me, but David Zhu got my interest. How long before we see the first Chinese in F1. I don't think Zhu will be the first, but China is so big and I would imagine, since they already have a GP, they would like to see a Chinese driver competing there on the highest level of motorsport too.
