Just reading the articl about Mercedes not signing up to the Concorde agreement due to thir 'historical' heritage.

Sorry, but they dont deserve it imo. I mean, It should just be Ferrari and Mclaren get it. Mercedes were only in F1 for 2 years in 54-55. As an engine supplier they only entered in 1994 supplying sauber.

They deserve nothing. Renault qualifies for more than Mercedes. Williams I would agree to having some form of Heritage bonus. 9 constructors, 7 drivers, formed in 77.

but yes,Ferrari should get the most, then Mclaren should get a substantial amount,Williams, and then Renault. Renault was a manufacturer team from 77-85, 2000-2009, and supplied from 83-86 and then 89 to present day, so thats 26 years supplying engines. In fact, id argue that Renault should get more than williams.

So, now Whitmarsh has been watching too much crystal ball.
Whitmarsh echoes Perez speculation

Perez has no hurry to go anywhere. He is doing well in Sauber and if Sauber succeeds in updating the car and making small miracles, why not stay. Sergio's value just keeps growing if he keeps getting points, and at autumn there surely are also other options available than just Ferrari. Ferrari needs first to sort out problems with the car. It is the most urgent task at the moment. Massa can show his performance even with the current car, and if he gets into shape he used to be. No need to replace him yet. In 2013 Perez can be in Ferrari but is even that sure?

I should have put a smiley there I didn't mean he is seriously suggesting what Perez, Sauber or Ferrari should do. It has been now so much touted that "Perez to Ferrari" that it pops up everywhere But seriously I do think that Sergio is in no hurry to decide anything.

Ferrari would probably also have to match whatever sponsorship Perez brings to Sauber and that won't be cheap.

Look, I don't think Pérez is going anywhere right away. I mean, think of the ramifications...Massa might call him a cumcumber.

Well that's unexpected. Personal life issues maybe? Wish him all the best.

Hopefully that won't be too big a blow for Williams who seem to have been pulling themselves together since last winter, and were looking like finally getting back on track after a couple nightmare seasons.
