reppo wrote:The news about Salo going to test Ferrari was first published in Iltasanomat by Rita Tainola about four hours ago. She is not F1 reporter nor motorsport reporter nor sports reporter. Usually she writes about celebrities and such. I have a feeling somebody is pulling somebody's leg :D

(nothing really to translate, since there are no refs from Ferrari or elsewhere)

Edit: forgot the link
  Hasn't Salo done some GT Racing for Ferrari? Maybe she got this from that.

Or maybe he's signed up to that scheme where rich people can buy and drive old Ferrari F1 cars.

There's another report:

I appears to be true that Mika Salo is going to drive Ferrari, but it is only Ferrari Racing Days event in Suzuka where they have Ferrari's street and race cars and at least two years old F1 cars. No F2012 testing or development for Salo as Iltasanomat had assumed. Maybe Mika just didn't bother to be too specific

That would make a lot more sense. :p

Has no one told that reporter about the testing ban?

I don't know if she even understands what it means. Salo works for MTV3 and I think they wanted to make a prank to Iltasanomat, since at first MTV3 referred to news in Iltasanomat before revealing what it really is. And now there is even in Wikipedia: "In March 2012, Ferrari confirmed Mika Salo as their testdriver. Mika Salo drove two days in Suzuka." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mika_Salo. Wonder how long it takes before somebody corrects it. "drove in Suzuka" They must have been laughing in MTV3

I don't like the livery of Marussia but the nose looks sleek. Something between Ferrari and McLaren. Not bad at all.

More like: Red Bull, McLaren, Mercedes, Lotus, Sauber, Ferrari, Midfield, Caterham.......Marussia....................................................HRT

I give up on the prancing horse :(

This looks better! :) Forget the prancing horce! :O

I would however choose for a more cautious aproach and keep an eye on them instead of forgetting them... We don't know how the car will perform and what potential has to offer once they sort out their problems.

Some of those dancing already on Ferrari's grave better hope Ferrari doesn't crawl up like a zombie to eat them alive. :shhh:

Latest:

- Christian Horner thinks Jenson Button is the main contender to his drivers
- Luca Di Montezemolo deeply concerned with F2012
- Bernie Ecclestone claims that teams want a Bahrain Grand Prix, and when asked about whether he would like to see more competition this season, rather than one team domination, he says he doesn't mind one team dominating, because everyone will be excited each race to see if anyone else can stop them.

I find this weird:
http://www.f1zone.net/news/montezemolo- ... fer/12809/
Despite a media ban, Fernando Alonso warned that he expects to “suffer” initially this year due to the famous Maranello based team needing to better understand its
complex new F2012 car.

It is that comment that has raised the alarm of Ferrari’s charismatic president Montezemolo.

“I hope that it is not true that we are going to suffer at the beginning, although Alonso is always very objective.

“I would like to understand why and above all understand how we can very quickly make the necessary changes,” he reportedly said at the Geneva Motor Show.
Doesn't anyone anymore tell anything to Montezemolo in Ferrari Team. Test after test it has been obvious that there is problems in F2012. Fry and Domenicali has been saying it in public, but now when Alonso says it he is alarmed. I he totally lost or what. Reporting in Ferrari goes by press or something :O
