Who said Kimi is bad when it comes to the technical side? Button thinks the opposite:
"I think it's really good for the sport. As a driver, he's very, very competitive. If he really wants to race, he's going to be quick.

"From what I've heard from the engineers at McLaren, he knows what he's doing in terms of engineering and setting up the car.

DC now that he is retired has been a little more 'honest' about his speed in relation to others. When still an active driver you never admit, even if you know its true that someone is quicker than you.

That being said, DC has been privy to the telemetry traces of Mika and thinks Kimis would be similar.

When most drivers are in a corner, the throttle trace would look like a "V" while for Mika it was always more of a "U". The ability to keep a little more throttle in a lower speed corner is they key to their speed according to DC. Coulthard has said that Kimi's traces likely look the same.
