2007 Formula 1 European Grand Prix
Re: 2007 Formula 1 European Grand Prix
t it was not a car failure, it was the gun's fault. It is far too early to say whether he can race tomorrow. Thankfully he did not lose consciousness. We'll make a decision about whether he can race after a couple of hours observation."

Fuel Load predictions:Alonso is lite than massa & kimi while massa has 1 or 2 lap fuel extra than kimi!
Alonso made mistake on last flying lap ..n lost pole.
Great(clean) performance from Kimi n Massa! :T:@

There was nothing with the wishbone if there was after the wheel got loose. Mclaren are saying the problem was caused from the wheelnut it wasn't fully locked after the pitstop so there was enough clearance for the wheel to move sideways causing the wheel to vibrate and touch with either bodywork or the dameged suspension causing a puncture therefore no steering in the highspeed curve.

Oh my god what a shunt. I really hope Hammi is going to race, i"m going to visit this grand prix tomorrow, and it won't be as much fun without Lewis. I hope some good news about his participation will be there soon...

Re: 2007 Formula 1 European Grand Prix
To be more specific it was actually the wheel gun that had a failure and wasn't locking the wheel nut in. Mclaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh said the team were going to dismantle the gun to see exactly what was wrong.
Who saw Ron Dennis so eager to clear Hamilton's name and the car?... he left it to the wheel gun and was happy to know it wasn't mechanical. Big mess for McLaren, especially because they have to impress at Germany due to the Mercedes deal.

Massa has the fastest lap of the weekend for now, he must be heavy
Re: 2007 Formula 1 European Grand Prix
I don't reckon he is that heavy... massa had a clean lap but it wasn't all perfect.iceman1 wrote:Massa has the fastest lap of the weekend for now, he must be heavy

Its upto toyota now!merce55 wrote:You guys think Toyota will finally rack up some points? especially with some home support for Ralph .. if there are any?
Supporting RalfRalf Schumacher is not having his best Formula 1 season at Toyota this year. The TF107 isn't as strong as the team would have hoped to see it at every circuit, which doesn't make it much easier for the German to perform well this season. His brother and former world champion Michael Schumacher believes he understands what is going wrong this season with Ralf.
"You don't just forget about how to race," Michael Schumacher told German magazine Bild. "Ralf knows very well what his problems are. We talked about it a lot during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend. I also told him clearly how I thought things were going for him."
Kimi will win
Hamilton 5th :T:@
