Because petrov is pushing in practice and qualifying, but too busy crashing in the race, nicks not as good? Theres me thinking he's bringing home the bacon better than petrov. Great race in spain didnt he?

Admitted, bit disapointed with him still, but hes doing a good job in a car based mostly around Kubica.

Eric boullier, Gerrard lopez, Genii and Lotus, are all knob heads. And im still waiting for this new age renault, to match what flavio/pat had achieved in 2 years. namely, a win!

He drove a couple of decent races but they don't count for much when his qualifying performance has been poor. They should give someone else a chance really

Hope Nick's qualis improves soon, his race pace has been good but with Petrov having money backing Nick is being made the scapegoat.
But Petrov has certainly improved from last year. The Renaults have been very unlucky this year IMO

BTW, speed tv did inform that a heart rate monitor was used by Michael Schumacher during Monaco GP qualifying. It peaked at 140 bpm which was quite surprising to all since it was lower than expected

Yeah, but it'd be a better use of the £30m than the current spending. Look at what happened to Force India when they started a partnership with McLaren. Virgin could adopt a similar trajectory. The lack of a windtunnel hasn't worked, and the MVR-02 is worse than the VR-01.

Meanwhile, Virgin has parted company with technical director Nick Wirth. The development of their 2012 car is understood to be in the hands of former Renault chief engineer Pat Symonds.

Every team is using CFD, but not in the way that Virgin is using. I really hope they will work together with McLaren, because then we can start to take them serious, like Team Lotus.

It's a good development and undoubtedly one that will please Glock.

Wirth had been out of F1 for the best part of 15 years and back then, his cars were usually propping up the rear of the grid. The MVR-02 is an awful car. Working with Symonds will be a huge benefit - we all saw the cars he has helped make in the past - but they need to increase their budget a tad and put the damn cars in a windtunnel.
