Yer and its a too open space. With people all around the circuit, there is not really a big concentration of people, as people all around the track. If I remember correctly they still raced at spa in 2005/2006 after someone said that GP would be attackediceman1 wrote:abt Wimbeldon for sure HewittDark_Fisico wrote:Yeah so has Wimbeldon... .iceman1 wrote:what about terrorist attacks in London and the car bomb in Glasgow.
Because of this, Silverstone is going to up the security at Silverstone of the off chance that something might happen
I wouldn't worry about it, the same could have been said for Indianapolis after 9/11 . Plus if security's that tight then any stupid terrorists probably wouldn't dare.

Re: 2007 FORMULA One British Grand Prix
Generally the circuits are big with a big spread of people. Still raced at Spa in 05/06 when someone said the spa circuit, paddock would be attacked. I think it was said on the saturday evening after quali but before the race. Nothing to do will Silverstone theniceman1 wrote:spa or silverstone??Bowsey wrote:

Re: 2007 FORMULA One British Grand Prix
apparently there will be rain all weekend friday, saturday and sunday
http://www.autosport.com/f1/weather.html
but i won't be surprised if it won't rain during the race or quali because that never happens, it's like the rain prefers to fall before and not during the race!

I can see it raining. Look at the weather they have being having in England at the moment. Poor Wimbledon has been nearly a total wash out. I'm hoping Kimi can get another win under his belt
Re: 2007 FORMULA One British Grand Prix
The Renault F1 team will celebrate 30 years in Formula One this weekend with a especial livery, although the paint job will not be raced.
The French squad made their Grand Prix debut on July 16th, 1977, racing a turbocharged engine for the first time at the Silverstone circuit.
At this weekend's British Grand Prix, Renault will celebrate their anniversary with a special livery inspired by that used in their first race.
The car, however, will only be on static display during the weekend, and the team will race with their usual colours

This shows an improved weather situation.
shows rain only from half the race onwards.

Re: 2007 FORMULA One British Grand Prix
If it rains, I will have to say Kimi has the best chance, I think he is the best wet-weather driver in F1 now with Alonso
Re: 2007 FORMULA One British Grand Prix

Yep, if there rains during the race, we can leave Massa out of winfight. He didn't do well in 2006 Hungarian GP. In the first few laps he was dropped out of the points. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02 Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02 Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02 Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02
